Joong felt numb, the last 24 hours seemed surreal. One moment he was having the time of his life with Dunk, the next he was gone. It wasn't just because it was his time.

He killed him. He killed the person he loves.

The tears rolled down his eyes.

He remember the moment when Phuwin, First and Khaotung came back. The look on Phuwin's face when he saw Dunk.

"Dunk!! Don't scare phi... Dunk, wake up! Pond, what is this?!" Pond had been in shock the moment Dunk pushed him away and the knife came straight for his heart. He held onto to him as he collapsed to the floor. But all of Dunk's sight was on Joong. He knew what was going through his mind, he couldn't believe Joong would betray him like this. The person he loves would try to kill someone close to him. Pond was more than a family to him.

"He's gone.." Pond whispered. Dunk's body had felt cold to the touch when he picked him up. He took a shuddering breath when he looked at Dunk's face, despite all the betrayal that he had felt, he looked peaceful. It was the most peaceful look he had ever worn. He no longer needed to fight for his life anymore.

"We're bringing him home." he said without turning back. His let out his big leathery wings once again. He waited for Phuwin to latch onto his back before they took off.

First and Khaotung looked towards each other as Joong was in stupor.

They didn't know how long it took before Joong could finally say a word. They finally knew what transpired and how he was told that he needed to kill Pond in order to save Dunk. They had packed everything and guided Joong to the car. Both of them looked worriedly at Joong on their way back. There really was nothing they could do. Dunk was dead. Nothing could bring him back. All First could do was text Pond and tell him the truth. He wasn't sure if they would forgive him but at least they knew why.

It took Pond a few days to reply him. He didn't say much. He just sent him the address of where Dunk was buried. He told them when to come so they would stay clear of that timing. They can't bring themselves to meet Joong. Not with the loss this fresh.

First and Khaotung had accompanied Joong over. By the looks of it First knew, this was Pond's clan burial site. Joong had collapsed the moment he saw Dunk's picture and name on the tombstone. First couldn't keep his tears at bay neither. Dunk had been his nong that he never had. He couldn't believe he was gone.

"I... I want a moment with him.. please." First and Khaotung nodded.

"We'll be at the coffeeshop nearby. Come find us when you're done." Khaotung said before patting his shoulder. He clasped First's shoulder as he wiped off the his tears. He shook his head, trying to smile through the tears that were rimming in his eyes. He was failing to reassure Khaotung but what Khaotung truly wanted him to know was that he was there for him.

Joong continued to stare at Dunk's head stone.

"Dunk... I'm sorry. I really didn't mean it... I just..." He sobbed.

"You just love him too much." Joong was surprised when he heard another voice. He turned and realized it was that guy who handed him the knife.

"YOU!!"

"Yes, me. I'm the one who gave you the knife but how did you aim so badly?" Jeff smirked. How Joong wanted to tear through him but he kept talking.

" But you've helped me so much. I never thought you could do it but you did. You loved him so much that you were willing to kill for him. Sadly your love killed him instead." Jeff laughed.
