"Obviously I'm scared of sharks who isn't?"
"Well sharks are more scared of us than we do them"

Y/N POV
I sat at my desk, textbooks and notes scattered in front of me, a pencil twirling in my hand absentmindedly. Studying for this upcoming test felt like trying to swim through quicksand; no matter how hard I tried to focus, my mind kept wandering. The one thing keeping me sane through all of this was knowing that I'd have Eunchae's voice in my ear soon. It had become our routine—she would call me at night, and we'd talk about everything and nothing while I studied and she struggled to fall asleep.
My phone buzzed on the desk, lighting up with her name. I smiled to myself before answering the call, immediately greeted by her playful voice.
"Studying again, I assume?"
"You know it," I replied with a sigh, leaning back in my chair. "Can't say it's been the most productive session so far, though."
Eunchae chuckled softly on the other end. "Don't worry, I'm here now. I'll keep you focused."
We always joked about how she kept me on track while I studied. In reality, it was just her voice, calming and steady, that helped me feel less stressed about everything. On nights like these, when it felt like the walls of my room were closing in with the pressure of exams, having her around—even if just through a call—made everything more manageable.
For the next hour or so, we went back and forth about random topics while I tried to get through my notes. She told me about her day, her last Music Bank coming up, and how she had been preparing for it. I told her about how Aki and I had been practicing for the talent show, even though I'd avoided telling her anything about what we were performing.
"So," Eunchae started, her tone teasing, "when are you going to tell me what you and Aki are performing at the talent show? You've been dodging my questions every time I ask."
I grinned to myself, imagining her playful glare. "Not happening," I replied. "You'll have to wait and see."
"Come on, Y/N!" she whined, dragging out my name in that way that always made me laugh. "I'm going to be there, and you're not even going to give me a hint?"
"Nope," I said, shaking my head even though she couldn't see me. "It's a surprise. Let's just say it's for you."
"For me?" She paused, her tone softening. "Now I really want to know."
I smirked, leaning forward in my chair. "You'll find out soon enough. Trust me, it's something special. Besides, Aki is only doing it for Winter, so I have to make sure my part is for someone too."
She laughed at that, the sound light and bright through the phone. "Of course he is. That guy has been obsessed with Winter forever."
"Exactly. He's been practicing like a maniac just for the chance to impress her. I think he's more excited about her reaction than the actual performance."
