Months had passed since that unforgettable day in the cafeteria when Jay, Heeseung, Sunghoon, and Niki had made their feelings for Jungwon, Jake, and Sunoo clear. Since then, everything had changed. What had started as a flurry of extravagant gifts and luxurious dates had settled into something deeper, more meaningful. The boys weren’t just impressed by the wealth and status of the older men—they had started to feel something more for them. The connection they had was undeniable, and though they hadn’t defined the relationships, it was clear there was more than just interest between them.
With Valentine’s Day approaching, the atmosphere around the school was buzzing with excitement. Love notes were being passed in hallways, and couples planned romantic evenings. But for Jungwon, Jake, and Sunoo, the upcoming holiday had taken on an entirely new meaning.
It was the day before Valentine's, and the three boys were gathered at Jake's house after school, lounging in the living room with soft music playing in the background. They were talking about their classes, casually avoiding the obvious elephant in the room—Valentine's Day and what it meant for them. The air felt charged with anticipation, but none of them wanted to admit it.
Jungwon had been on edge for days, his thoughts filled with Jay—his smile, his laugh, the way he looked at him as if he were the only person that mattered. And yet, he couldn’t shake the uncertainty in his heart. Did Jay feel the same way? Did he want something real, or was this all just part of the thrill?
Jake and Sunoo weren’t any better off. Jake had caught Heeseung’s lingering glances in the cafeteria, the way his hand brushed Jake’s whenever they were together. He couldn’t deny the flutter in his chest whenever Heeseung was near. Sunoo, meanwhile, was just as torn, constantly replaying his last conversation with Niki, trying to decipher every word, every look.
As the three friends sat in silence, lost in their thoughts, the doorbell rang. Jake frowned, glancing at the clock. It was already late. "Who could that be?" he wondered aloud.
Sunoo shrugged, but there was a flicker of curiosity in his eyes. "Maybe someone’s dropping off a Valentine’s surprise?"
Jungwon snorted, shaking his head. "Or it’s just the mailman."
Jake got up and made his way to the door, the others following behind him. As he opened it, all three of them froze.
There, standing in the doorway, were Jay, Heeseung, Sunghoon, and Niki. Dressed impeccably, as always, they looked even more striking than usual, their presence almost overwhelming. Behind them stood a few guards, but for once, their attention was focused entirely on the boys in front of them, their usual confidence tinged with something else—nervousness.
Jay’s gaze locked onto Jungwon’s immediately, and for a moment, time seemed to stop. Jungwon’s heart raced in his chest as he tried to make sense of the scene in front of him. Heeseung and Sunghoon were both looking at Jake with expressions that were too intense to be casual, while Niki’s eyes softened as they met Sunoo’s.
Finally, it was Jay who spoke, his voice gentle but clear. "Jungwon, can we come in?"
Jake, still in shock, stepped aside without a word, and the four men entered the house, their presence making the cozy living room feel much smaller.
Jungwon swallowed hard, unsure of what to expect. "What are you guys doing here?"
Jay smiled, but there was a hint of vulnerability in his expression that Jungwon had never seen before. "We wanted to ask you something. Something important."
Heeseung stepped forward, his eyes never leaving Jake’s. "It’s almost Valentine’s Day, and we’ve been thinking…"
Sunghoon nodded, his voice softer than usual. "We want to spend it with you. All of you."
Niki’s gaze drifted to Sunoo, his lips curving into a small smile. "As our Valentines."
The room fell into stunned silence. Jungwon felt his heart skip a beat. Did they hear that right? They were asking to be their Valentines?
Jungwon glanced at Jake and Sunoo, who both looked as shell-shocked as he felt. It wasn’t that they hadn’t thought about it—of course they had. Over the past few months, they’d spent countless hours together, growing closer with each passing day. But this? It felt so… real.
"Wait," Jungwon finally managed to say, his voice shaky. "You’re serious?"
Jay nodded, stepping closer to him, his gaze soft but intense. "We’ve never been more serious. We care about you, Jungwon. More than you know. And tomorrow… well, it’s a special day. We want to spend it with you, not just as friends, but as something more."
Heeseung added, his voice filled with warmth as he looked at Jake. "We want you to know that we’re not just playing around. This… whatever this is, it’s important to us. You’re important to us."
Sunghoon smiled softly at Jake, his usual aloof demeanor melting away. "So, what do you think?"
Sunoo stared at Niki, who had been quiet, but his expression spoke volumes. "Are you sure about this?" Sunoo asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Niki nodded. "I’ve never been more sure of anything."
Jungwon’s mind was racing. This was everything they’d been unsure about—whether the feelings were mutual, whether they were just getting caught up in the whirlwind of wealth and attention. But now, hearing Jay and the others speak so openly, so earnestly, it was like the final piece of the puzzle clicked into place.
Jake looked between Heeseung and Sunghoon, his voice filled with a mix of disbelief and excitement. "So… you want us to be your Valentines?"
Heeseung nodded, his eyes sparkling. "Only if you want to be."
There was a beat of silence, and then, almost as if on cue, all three boys started to smile. The tension in the room evaporated, replaced by something lighter, something hopeful.
"I… I think we’d like that," Jungwon finally said, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
Jake grinned, his eyes lighting up as he looked at Heeseung and Sunghoon. "Yeah. Definitely."
Sunoo blushed, his gaze still locked with Niki’s. "Okay."
The men’s faces lit up with relief and happiness. Jay stepped forward, taking Jungwon’s hand in his, his touch gentle but firm. "Then it’s settled. Tomorrow, we’ll pick you up. We’ve got a lot planned for the day."
Heeseung smirked at Jake. "You’ll love it."
Niki leaned closer to Sunoo, his voice low. "I promise it’ll be worth it."
Jungwon’s heart swelled with warmth. For the first time in months, all the uncertainty, all the doubt, faded away. They were all in this together now, and tomorrow, they’d take the next step. Valentine’s Day had never meant so much before.
As the men said their goodbyes and left, promising to pick them up in the morning, Jungwon, Jake, and Sunoo stood in the living room, the reality of what had just happened sinking in.
Jungwon looked at his friends, a wide grin spreading across his face. "So… I guess we’ve got Valentines."
Jake laughed, shaking his head in disbelief. "Yeah, I guess we do."
Sunoo just smiled, a soft, dreamy look in his eyes. "Tomorrow’s going to be amazing, isn’t it?"
Jungwon nodded, his heart light and full of excitement. "Yeah. It really is."
Tomorrow couldn’t come fast enough.
