I looked over at my phone, it was 8 pm, we had spent a long time talking and I lost track of time. I called my parents while Anthony was ordering food to tell them that I was fine and that my phone was malfunctioning which was the reason for ignoring their previous phone calls.

I looked at my missed calls and messages, 10 from Monica and a message from an unknown number. I couldn't see the message in its entirety, and I didn't want to click it, but curiosity got the better of me.

I'll wait until you're ready to talk, Red.

I let out a small sigh, it was Daniel. There were only three people who used that name for me, my mother, Monica, and Daniel.

"Boyfriend?" Anthony asked, coming back into the living room.

"Not in this lifetime," I said looking at him.

"Hmm, that's good then," he said.

I furred my eyebrows together, "it is?" I asked.

"Yeah, it's good to keep your options open."

"What options?"

Anthony shrugged his shoulders and made his way to sit next to me again. He turned on the tv to a random channel just for background noise I assumed.

I was starting to feel awkward just sitting next to him. I had already said everything about me that needed to be said, and we didn't have much common ground to talk about anything else.

Lucky for me the food got here quickly and there was a knock on the door, that Anthony got to answer. It was a pizza delivery guy with two boxes of pizza and a 2-liter soda. Anthony got them and proceeded to place them on the kitchen table.

"For the record I don't see a point in dating anymore," I said, taking a seat.

"What, you don't believe in love?"

"No, it's not that. I mean... I know it's real, it's how everyone else was able to break their curse so far but now, it's just- it's just different."

"Different how? You got a lot of experience dating or something?" Anthony asked with a smirk.

I smiled as I looked down on my plate, "actually...yes. You forget I've lived for a loooong time."

"But you never dated in this lifetime, have you?"

"I have, remember I told-"

"Oh right, you told me and Rose that you dated someone in your freshman year right."

"Yup, it only lasted about 3 months though. We actually dated for the rest of the year but only the first three months were good. We kind of just ghosted each other for the last part of our relationship." I said, ashamed at how my last relationship ended.

"You know... you never told us why you guys broke up." Anthony asked curious to what my response would be.

"Umm...truthfully, I don't think I ever loved him. I know I did have a crush on him but...it wasn't love. The last few lives that I have lived...I stopped dating unless I could tell that it was actually love."

"That seems exhausting."

"Hmm... life is exhausting," I said.

"Is that why you guys broke up, because you didn't love him?"

"Kind of. But it was more because a friend of ours always kept hanging out around us. She would run up and hug him or she would give him a kiss on the cheek. It got me annoyed every time that he would just let that happen." I said frustrated.

"So, you were jealous," Anthony said with a slight smile.

"It wasn't jealousy, jealousy feels different, this-this was just pure hatred and anger at both of them. I mean- I mean if you had a girlfriend and you both share a common friend and if that friend always came up to your girlfriend and hugged her and kissed her wouldn't you be mad? Especially if she never tells him to stop, she just lets it go on." I said with even more frustration and annoyance.
