Chapter 13 Collateral damage

Azula moved her hands in circles as engery sparked at her finger tips. Before she unleashed her lightning at the test dummy. The lightning sent the dummy flying backwards. As it clashed on to the ground.

"Still to much power Lala. You're trying to use your lightning to paralyse your opponent not kill them." Shoto said as he picked the training dummy and placed back on it's stand. "Sho-sho out of all the crazy bending techniques you have invented. This probably one of the most useless. The whole principle of lightning is that it's lethal. And it means to kill and mutilate." Azula said matter of factly.

"Careful your ignorant side is showing." Shoto told her. To which she gave an eye roll. "And I wouldn't try this. If there wasn't something to gain from this." Shoto explained. "What are you hoping from this ?" Azula asked with a indifferent tone. "Simple by doing so, I am trying to see If it's possible to paralyse people or deactivate their bending." Shoto explained.

That immediately got Azula's attention. "Deactivate them how ?" She asked curiously. "Simply put in theory if a lightning hits a someone at a very specific volatge. They in principle can get paralysed by it due to a neurological overlord causing their body shut down and go still. In principle if it's done to a bender. They could lose all the skills that they honed due to all the nerves being short circuited." Shoto explained.

"Clearly your living up to your name as the most prodigious firebender in history. Making a bending technique that can take away other people's bending how morbidly intelligent." Azula said to him. "Lala I am not doing this just to invent another means to end people. No I am seeing the possibility on how by using lightning that I can possibly give people mobility or help making benders become more powerful." Shoto explained. "Okay dum dum you lost me care to explain ?" Azula asked.

"Simple the same voltage that can take away their bodily functions should in principle give people born with the inability to walk let's says, there legs back. Or why not take a step forward. If by giving the correct amount of energy a firebender should be in principle be able to overflow the chi pathways of others benders. Allowing them greater power then they would have access to normally." Shoto explained.

"I take it back, this your greatest bending technique yet." Azula said with a crazy glee on her eyes. "Even bloodbending ?" Shoto asked. "No bloodbending is just too good. Both offensive and healing wise, it's the only technique that made me want to be waterbender." Azula said with excitment. "Okay calm down you manic. I only thought of it right now. It still needs a lot test and experiments before it ever becomes a viable technique." Shoto explained to Azula.

"When it does, you will have to teach me first !!" Azula demanded. "It's not like I can teach zuko these moves. He just managed to learn lightning generation." Shoto remarked. "He's always the weak one isn't he ?" Azula sarcastically retorted. "Okay you can leave now, you gremlin. Taking behind his back. What type of sister are you ?" Shoto asked playfully. "The greatest ever, he's lucky that's all I do." Azula said with gleeful expression.

"Well I am off, inventing a new bending style is always an honour." Azula said dramatically. She then left her older brother to workout the endeavours of the new bending technique. She entered the kitchen bending lightning for so long alway lead her to get thirsty. She grabbed a glass of cold apple juice. Which she poured into her cup and then took a sip of it.

Just as her mouth was getting quenched of it's thrist. Zuko walked into the kitchen and marched towards her. "Azula I need a urgent favor from you." Zuko said to her. Azula just simply lifted one of her fingers up. And silenced him, before drinking the contents of her cup fully. "Okay you may proceed." Azula said.

"I need you get me all the medication on this list for the healing hut." Zuko said as he handed her a list of medicines along with a bag of coins. Azula looked at the list and asked, "Why can't you do it ?" "Well I am stuck treating some second degree burns on a couple of soldiers back from the front lines. So I need you to get this painkillers from the firenation town to the west." Zuko requested her.
