Shoto(pov)
"The first thing there is to know about waterbending is that it's divided into three distinct laws. The first being the law of Howling, then comes the law of blood and finally the law of concrete." Shoto explained in detail. "Each law has it's own set of sub-divison or sub-clases. But for this demonstration we will first going through the law of howling." Shoto explained.

He then moved his hands in a fluid motion and water came to him in his palm. "The Law of howling is mostly used for defensive purposes and learning to counterattack against any and all offenses. It's mainly about using the water to create weapons and shields." Shoto instructed them. Both Aang and katara looked at him with great attention. "For now you will do some training excerises to improve your flexibility." Shoto instructed them.

"Why are we doing this excerises for ?" Katara asked. "Simple waterbending is all about fluid motions. The more flexible you are, the more you're likely to be able move through the katas" Shoto explained.

Katara(pov)
Katara looked at shoto in disbelief, as he falled to the ground with his legs spilt in a perfect 180°. "Well what do you need an invitation ?" Shoto asked her sarcastically. "Well how do you expect me go do that ? No one is that flexible." Katara said. Then as to prove her wrong Aang slumped to the ground doing same 180° spilt. She looked at the air bending monk as he smile saying how easily it was.

Seeing the bald monk being able to pull it off. Katara decided so could she but no matter what she tried or attempted. She couldn't vertically spilt like they had. On one attempt she accidentally falled to the ground sprinning her knee. She could swear, she was hearing Azula laughing at her.

As the day progressed, she was unable even one of the excerises. And when the time came for the waterbending moves. She felt a little beaten down but hopeful. But eventually that hoped too did diminished. When she saw Aang moving through all the waterbending katas one after the other. While she barely managed to learn 6 moves.

"Hey katara check this out." Aang said. As he moved his hand to create a massive pillar of ice. "Cool right ?" The boy said with a grin. It was done to amaze her. But it had the opposite effect she was furious. That this boy could learn all these advanced moves. While she was stuck in the basics. "Yeah very cool, why don't you just take that cooliness somewhere else." Katara snarked at him. The boy's smile faded as looked at her slightly disheartened. "Did I do something wrong ? I'm sorry if I did so." Aang said sincerely. "No Aang it's just. Y'know how about we talk later." Katara said before leaving.

Aang tried to go after her, but shoto put an hand on his shoulder. "I will go talk to her. While you resume your training." He then promptly left looking for the watertribe girl. Leaving the avatar continuing on with his training feeling distressed about the situation.

Shoto(pov)
Shoto marched throughout the lake looking around, until he spotted the object that he was searching for. The southern water tribe girl sat cross-legged on the bank of the lake ontop of a stone. He marched with grace and sat a respectable distance from her. "If you're here to lecture me, then go away." Katara said to while not even turning to face him. He didn't gave no response, which somehow infuriated her even more.

"Okay I get it I should apologise to Aang for being a better bender than me. Now can you pleas--" Katara was interrupted. "Airbending katas are greatly similar to water bending katas." Shoto explained. "What ?" Katara asked confused. "Waterbending has katas that overlap with Airbending katas. So naturally Aang would be great in waterbending seeing as though he learned and mastered Airbending at 11 years old. The overall talent mixed with early training gaves him a much sharper edge. That'll take you years to gain." Shoto explained analytically.

Katara's looked changed and she then became flat out wraithful. "LISTEN! I don't care what you consider of me ! I will learn waterbending no matter what. And just because you think I am the worst terrible student you ever student had. Doesn't mean I will-- " Katara said as she interrupted. "I consider you in high regards katara. Just because Aang is better at waterbending then you doesn't that you're weak." Shoto explained. He then added, "It just means that you're different and that's ok. You need to learn in your own way. Even if it takes time." Shoto told her.
