It's cold and flu season. Let's see what happens on base when everyone but Indy gets sick. This is gonna be fun.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If there's anything Indy absolutely cannot understand when it comes to these men, it's the fact that they would rather die,  than ask for medical attention. Especially Ghost.

They'll swear up and down that they're fine while also treating their own stab wounds. Half the scars they have wouldn't exist had it gotten actual medical attention from a doctor.

Indy is a special case because she'll actively go to the med bay if she needs treatment. The only thing she has trouble with is vaccines because she's terrified of needles, but she always powers through. She's up to date with everything at all times, which makes her especially smug when the men get sick and she doesn't.

It's like a plauge, every cold and flu season, slowly creaping up on the unsuspecting soldiers and leaving them bed-ridden for a week.

Gaz can always feel it creeping in once the weather turns cold. He tries to escape by downing vitamin c packets every morning and every night. Sadly, even while doing everything he can to avoid getting sick, one missed day of vitamin c and he's in bed with a runny nose, sore throat, headache, and cough.

Ghost always tries to ignore his body when he's sick. He'll do paperwork, train, and go on missions like it's nothing. Headaches? Pills. Sore throat? He doesn't talk much, anyways. Nausea? Now that's his weakness. Any and all ideas of him training or doing missions are thrown out the window the second he can't stop throwing up.

Price is similar to Ghost, resulting in him being made to stay in bed the second he's too feverish to work. He's absolutely delirious and speaks nonsense right up until the fever breaks.

Soap's an absolutely invalid when sick. Normally, it comes after something like accidentally getting caught in the rain or having to do a mission and forgetting his gloves and hat. He's stuck in bed with muscle aches, a headache, a lost voice, veritgo, and a slight fever.

Where is Indy in all of this? Well, she's having the absolute time of her life now that all 4 men are under her control.

It's halfway through the week and Indy has her routine down pat. First item on the list, check on Price and his fever.

"Good morning, Cap. How you doing?" She walks in with a cold compress, a cup of warm chicken broth, fever medicine, and a folder with papers inside.

Price can barely open his eyes, managing a hazy look at best. "... n-need to file... reports..." He's not entirely aware of his sorrounding or what he says and does, but Indy just smiles in amusement.

"Now, now, you can take care of the reports in a second. Can't start the day without a nice cup of coffee, first." Except, she hands her the chicken broth instead of coffee. The only way to get Price to comply is by tricking him into thinking she'll let him out of bed to work.

The poor Captain, too feverish to care, only registers a warm drink going down his throat. Nothing else matters after that.

Once he downs it, she pours out the dose of fever meds for him. "Alright, you drink this down and then I'll let you get some work done." Down the hatch the medicine goes and she hands him the folder while putting the cold compress onto his forehead.

It'll take about 20 minutes for the medicine to kick in and knock him out. The reports inside the folder are old mission logs that have already been filled in and filed. It tricks his feverish brain into thinking work is being done and finished, letting the poor man rest easy.
