You had never moved faster in your life. One moment, you were enjoying the hot water running down your back, and the next, a tiny intruder decided to make an appearance. A spider. Right by the shower drain.

With a shriek, you bolted out of the bathroom, barely managing to wrap a towel around yourself as you ran into the bedroom. Your heart pounded as you slammed the door behind you, leaning against it.

"Peter!" You yelled, your voice filled with panic. "Peter! Help! There's a spider!"

Peter, lounging on the bed with a comic book, sat up instantly. "What? Are you okay?"

"There's a spider in the bathroom!" You pressed yourself against the door like it might suddenly burst open and let the eight-legged creature in. "Go get rid of it! Please!"

Peter blinked, biting back a smile. "Wait, you're calling me? Me?"

"Yes, you!" You snapped, still frazzled. "You're literally Spider-Man! It's your job to deal with things like this!"

He couldn't hold in the laugh anymore. "Babe, I'm Spider-Man. Not spider killer."

You glared at him. "Peter, I swear, if you don't handle this, I'm never going into that bathroom again. Ever. I'll... I'll move out!"

Peter sighed dramatically but hopped off the bed, already pulling on his mask. "Fine. But I'm only doing this because I don't want to lose my girlfriend over a spider."

You watched him head toward the bathroom, your nerves calming slightly now that your hero was on the job. A minute later, you heard him speaking softly.

"Okay, little buddy," Peter's voice floated out from the bathroom. "I know she's freaked out by you, but we're going to get you out of here. No squishing today. I'll just escort you to safety."

You crossed your arms, shifting your weight from one foot to the other, still on high alert. "Peter, are you talking to the spider?"

"Of course," he called back. "Gotta keep it calm. It's a big day for him too."

You heard the window being opened and the soft thud of something landing outside. Peter walked back in, pulling off his mask with a grin. "All done. Mr. Spider is now safely outside, living his best life."

You exhaled in relief but gave him a look. "You know, you could've just squished it."

Peter's eyes widened in mock horror. "Squish it? That's murder, Y/n! Besides, what kind of Spider-Man would I be if I went around squashing my arachnid brethren?"

You rolled your eyes. "You are way too into this."

He smirked, walking over to you, resting his hands on your bare shoulders. "I saved you from the big, scary spider. Doesn't that make me your knight in shining web-slingers?"

"You're ridiculous," you muttered, trying not to smile.

Peter leaned closer, his voice soft. "Admit it. You're a little impressed."

"Fine," you grumbled, trying to act tough. "Maybe a little."

Peter grinned, leaning in to kiss your forehead. "I'll take it. Now, how about I get you back in that spider-free shower?"

You smiled, feeling the warmth of his lips still lingering on your skin. "Thanks for saving the day, Spidey."

"Anytime, babe," he whispered, before pulling you back toward the bathroom.
