Once everyone was conscious again, they all stood around the area where the van landed. Luther stood next to the road with his thumb out, trying to get a lift from someone. Which was difficult due to the lack of people in the town.

Ben, who held his head, commented "Leave it to this clown car of a family to botch a simple search and rescue."

"For a second there, we had her." Luther reminded.

"Who were those weirdos with the fanny packs?" Viktor asked.

"Was it me, or did they smell like wet sheep?" Lila asked.

Luther turned to her "Goats, I thought." He thought for a second "Maybe llamas."

"Who cares?" Diego spoke with annoyance in his tone. He looked at Y/n "And why'd they call you Valerie?"

Y/n looked down a moment before looking at Lila. She then looked at Five, who sent her a reassuring look before speaking "Their names are Gene and Jean. They run an underground organisation called the Keepers."

Diego looked at Five "Sex cult?"

Five frowned "No, it's not a sex-"

"No. Once you get to the top, it's always a sex cult." Diego shook his head.

"Yeah. The man's got a point." Luther pointed as he pursed his lips.

Five rolled his eyes "They're an extremist group who believe they have memories from an alternate timeline." He said.

"Yeah, and some of their theories are pretty bang on." Lila commented.

Y/n nods "They're calling this phenomenon the Umbrella Effect."

Viktor frowned, standing up from his place in the van, as he said "How is this even possible?"

Y/n looked at her brother "Well, we're still working on that one."

Ben looked at them "What do they want with Jennifer?" Five huffed, rubbing his hands together and shrugging "Great. You don't know that either." Ben rolled his eyes.

Allison, who was sat in the trunk of Wanda with Klaus, noticed his eyes watering as he looked into the distance.

She put a hand on his shoulder "Hey, hey, hey. Are you okay?"

"I'm absolutely fine, thanks to you." Klaus said sulkingly.

Allison frowned, removing her hand from his shoudler as she scoffed "Look. Are you mad at me because I saved your life?"

"I was very clear, was I not?" Klaus looked at her "No marigold."

"I know, Klaus. What was I supposed to do? Let you die?" Allison questions him.

His voice shook slightly as he replied "I know. It's just three whole years down the drain. Three years clean and sober." Klaus looked at her again "But this is what you wanted, right?"

Allison paised a moment "Wha. . . What are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about this." Klaus replied "Our parasitic relationship. The eternal screw up and his holy savior. As long as I'm around you don't have to look directly at your empty pit of a life."
