The family all sat in Wanda, Diego driving them to the site of the Cleanse.

Diego looked over at Y/n, noticing her bouncing leg and her chewing the inside of her cheeks. He reached over, placing a hand on her thigh. She looked over at him, Diego smiling at her slightly. Y/n sadly smiled back as she held his hand in hers.

They reach the shopping mall that the Cleanse was happening at, seeing a shit load of Keepers outside of it.

Everyone leaned in to see through the window, Luther commenting "Well, that doesn't look good."

Allison, who sat behind Diego, leaned forward and said "Quick, back down that alley way so we're out of sight."

Diego shifted the gear stick, looking back. Then, Wanda suddenly started moving forward instead of back.

"Diego!" Y/n shouts.

"Back up, you idiot!" Five said to him.

"I'm trying." He exclaimed as he fiddled with the gear stick again. When Wanda kept moving forward, Diego mumbled "Come on, you piece of shit."

Diego slammed the dashboard, making Baby Shark start loudly playing. Unfortunately, this made all the Keepers turn and look at the van.

"What are you doing?"
"Hit the brakes!"
"Diego!"

"I'm trying!" Diego shouts as he pressed as hard as he could on the brakes, though Wanda only sped up "It's not working!"

"Come on, man. You're going to get us killed." Klaus exclaimed from the back "Now would be an excellent time for somebody to do something!"

The van scrapped across a few cars "Oh fuck!"

Y/n grabbed the emergency brake handle, pulling it hard. This made the van come to a sudden stop, along with the music. The siblings let out small curses under their breaths as Diego tried to start the van again.

Y/n huffed "This is why we wear seatbelts."

Klaus nods and sits down properly again "Yeah, good call, Buttercup."

The family turn and see all of the Keepers staring at them, this panicked them as Diego repeatedly tried to start the car.

"Oh. Hey." Luther awkwardly waved.

"For the love of God, shoot 'em." Gene said, making them all hold up their guns.

The Keepers all began shooting at the van, making the siblings all duck down. They open the right side doors and all crawl out of Wanda, sitting outside her and using her as a shield.

Diego then yelled "Hey! I just replaced those!" He said, referring to the now shattered windows.

"You know, maybe you shouldn't have cheaped out on the brakes." Five commented.

"To be fair, new set of ceramic pads on a vehicle this old is not a good investment." Luther stated.

"Says the one who bought a run-down house!" Y/n said to him, making him look at her.
