I woke up the next morning beside Natsu.

Our fingers were locked while asleep.

"Natsu, wake up." I whispered in his ears.

"Lucy?" he asked rubbing his eyes, after yawning.

"Hmm?" I asked sitting up.

He immediately shot up and kissed my cheek, making me blush.

That was sudden.

I still can't believe that he loves me.

I was losing hope, yesterday.

He stretched, smiling brilliantly at me.

"This is going to be a great day!" he chirped happily and went straight to the kitchen.

"Yeah. It is." I agreed and went straight to the bathroom to do my morning duties.

I walked out of the bathroom and Natsu isn't there.

I went straight to the kitchen and Natsu was cooking our breakfast.

Seemingly, He finished dressing up before me.

Mom walked towards the kitchen and smiled serenely.

"That smells great, Natsu." She complimented.

"Thanks mom!" Natsu gave her a wide grin.

"So, you two finally made up." She teased with her hands crossed across her chest.

"Yup." I answered casually.

"So the status?" she smirked playfully.

"Best friends." Natsu and I answered in unison.

"I KNEW IT! YOU TWO WOULD MAKE A LOV- Wait WHAT?" she screamed in horror and eyed us in disbelief.

Natsu and I chuckled.

Natsu and I talked about keeping our relationship low profile as much as possible.

We wanted to continue being best friends and the relationship we both have was just a bonus.

Mom shook her head in disappointment at first, but showed as an understanding smile after.

"Whatever. I'll go along with it." She hugs us both.

Natsu finished cooking and we all ate happily together.

When we finished eating, Natsu pulled me up while holding my hands then we kissed mom's cheeks side by side and ran to school.

When we were a couple of meters away from school, we let go of each other's hands.

School was riot.

Natsu was being asked for dates every second, and guys kept asking me out which I gladly turn down.

I glared at the girls squeezing themselves into Natsu's seat.

Natsu chuckled at me from time to time, and I icily glared at him to make him shut up.

School ended and it was raining.

Natsu was waiting for me at the front gate of the school with an umbrella.

He ran towards me with his umbrella and smiled his goofy old smile at me.

I felt glares from girls and guys stabbing my back but I didn't care.

I walked towards him and we walked peacefully through the rain.

"When did you get an umbrella?" I asked.

"I texted one of my attendant to bring me one." He shrugged and I laughed.

We continued walking silently, when all of a sudden Natsu burst out laughing.

"What happened?" I asked, looking at him like he's on crack.

"Pfft. You were so adorable a while ago. You were so jealous." He laughed out loud and I blushed.

"Did you think, I didn't know what you've done to the other half of the guys who were about to ask me out earlier, Natsu?" I smirked playfully, regaining my confidence and he blushed furiously.

"H-How?" he stuttered.

"I accidentally heard you threatening them in Gym. That's why they were cut to half at the end of the day." I reasoned then gave him an evil smirk.

"They were pissing me off." Natsu grumbled under his breath while blushing.

How adorable!

I pinched his cheeks until they turned red and he frowned.

"So cute!" I burst and smiled triumphantly.

"I'm not cute! I'm cool!" he pouted childishly and I laughed.

I tiptoed towards him.

Slowly.

Gently.

He closed his eyes.

I reached towards him and...

Grabbed the umbrella and ran like hell.

"LUCY!" I turned and found that he was inches away from me.

I dropped the umbrella as he grabbed me by my waist while the rain pours on our skin.

We looked at each other's eyes while smiling.

The rain got heavier.

We just stood there, allowing the rain to soak us.

He looked at me with those feverish eyes.

It's so contagious.

He leaned in and placed both his hands on my cheek, pulling me up to him.

We both closed our eyes, feeling each other's warm breath through the rain.

He closed the gap and kissed me sweetly then passionately.

His warmth, clothed my entire body as he deepened the kiss.

His lips grounded mine hungrily.

My head felt dizzy.

His hands slowly snaked to my waist, pulling my entire body towards him.

I felt his body heat through the thin clothes we were wearing.

I trailed my hands towards his hard chest to his collar. I pulled him down, making the kiss turn a little bit aggressive.

The effect of the rain while he was kissing me senseless, sending shivers down my spine.

We broke the kiss and he rests his forehead on mine.

"I love you..." He exhales as he held my gaze and I smiled tenderly at him.

"Lucy?" He called as his minty breath fans my face. While brushing his thumb on my lower lip.

"Hmm?" I responded, taking pleasure on inhaling his scent and the warmth of his thumb on my lip.

"Let's go on a date this Friday?" he asked nervously.

"Sure. Why not?" I smiled brightly.

We held hands and danced in the rain.

He lifted my feet off the ground and twirls me round and round.

Running around, playing tag like kids.

We'd kiss from time to time, never letting the heavy rain stop us.

The moment was perfect.

I swear I just had the best time with my...

Best friend.
