It's been a few days now since Y/n arrived home on holiday and she's been spending all of her time with her mum. Today her Amina decided the two of them should go out somewhere, so she chose a cute little bakery they had never been to before. It luckily wasn't a far drive from where they live, even if Y/n was reluctant to go. Now, Y/n and her mother stand in line patiently waiting when the sound of the door's little bell rings, announcing someone's arrival.

Y/n initially pays no attention to the sounds, trying to decide what exactly she wants from this bakery. But a familiar voice quickly makes her ears perk up, "Oh you're joking."

Y/n spins around, her eyes widening in surprise at the familiar bushy brown-haired girl now standing in front of her. "Granger? No way." She whispers, her gaze locked with Hermione's as the girl glares back at Y/n.

Hermione's face scrunches up in dismay, "Are you stalking me?" She spats, her voice laced with displeasure at the sight of Y/n being at the little bakery she's gone to.

Y/n simply rolls her eyes and crosses her arms to her chest. "You wish. Besides, I got here ten minutes before you." She points out, making a face at Hermione who just scoffs and rolls her eyes back at Y/n.

Amina, now noticing her daughter is having a conversation with someone, turns around to see Hermione and Y/n chatting. "Oh, hello there! You're the girl from the train station that Y/n waved too." She exclaims clasping her hands together, her voice full of excitement.

With small sigh Y/n turns to her mother then back to Hermione, her tone unenthusiastic as she speaks. "Gran- Hermione. This is my mum, Amina." She then turns to her mother and begrudgingly continues, "Mum... this is my house mate and classmate Hermione Granger. Ok let's get something to eat now." Y/n says trying to push her mother to the cash register and get away from Hermione.

"Stop that Y/n, don't be rude." Her mother snaps, swatting her hands away making Y/n groan in dismay. Amina turns her attention back to Hermione and smiles gently at the girl. "It is nice to meet you, Hermione. Are your parents here with you, dear?" She queries looking past Hermione at the entrance to the bakery.

Hermione stands up straight, suddenly seeming nervous at Amina's question. She clears her throat, shaking her head in response. "It's nice to meet you too ma'am. But uh... no, my parents let me walk here alone sometimes since we live relatively close by." Hermione explains, sheepishly pulling the sleeves of her coat.

"Please don't." Y/n says a silent plea to her mother, getting the feeling she knows exactly what Amina is about to ask.

"I have a wonderful idea!" Amina exclaims while Y/n whine wiping her hand over her face in frustration. "Why don't you sit and eat with us here Hermione?" She offers with an excited smile playing on her lips.

Hermione looks up wide eyed in surprise, her gaze shifting from Y/n and her mother. "Oh uh I don't want to intrude." She chuckles, her tone laced with nervousness at the thought of eating with Y/n and her mum.
