Y/n found herself sitting alone at a table in the library reading a book while leaning her chair back on its back legs. She hummed to herself, the occasional couple of students walking past snickering to each other. Her eyes occasionally glancing up from the pages, as if she's waiting for a specific person to appear. A tinge of disappointment in her eyes whenever she looked back at her book.
"Oi! Black!" Ron's voice echoed throughout the library. Y/n looked up, her gaze falling on the red-haired boy along with Harry following in toe. The two boys take a seat at the table with her, Harry sitting across the table from Y/n and Ron sitting at the very end of it.
"Hey Weasley, hey Potter." Y/n greeted them with a casual tone. She raised a curious eyebrow at the two of them, "So what are you guys doing here? Catching up on some reading?" She sneered playfully while Ron jeered back at her.
"No. Actually, Hermione said she wanted us to follow her in here. Said she needed to show us something." Harry retorted, with an eyeroll following after. Y/n drops her chair back down onto all of its legs with a huff. Her casual demeanor shifted to one of excitement.
"Hermione's here too??" Y/n began looking around trying to catch a glimpse of where she could be. The boys looked at each other and snickered to one another.
"Why weren't you this excited to see us?" Ron snorted her way, he raised his eyebrows humming as he leaned forward against the table. Y/n groaned rolling her eyes before clasping her book and placing it on the table in front of her.
"I am not excited!" Y/n snapped narrowing her eyes at Ron who just sneered back at her in amusement by her answer. The sound of footsteps quickly approaching caught Y/n's attention. She looked ahead of her, seeing Hermione carrying a humongous book half her size over to the table. Y/n smiled, a sparkle of excitement in her eyes, seeing Hermione approaching. "Hermione hey! What-" Before Y/n can continue, she is interrupted by Hermione dropping the monstrous book onto the table.
"I had you looking in the wrong section! How could I be so stupid?" Hermione huffed in annoyance with herself. She scoffed sitting down at the table next to Y/n, "I checked this out weeks ago for a bit of light reading."
"This is light?" Y/n queried, looking at the book Hermione had dropped to the table beside her. Y/ns brows knitting into a furrow looking over at her. Hermione snaps her attention to her, glaring at Y/n intensely as she opens the book in front of her and begins turning the pages.
Hermione huffed rolling her eyes at Y/n's comment. "Actually, good you're here. You should hear this too." She nodded to Y/n with a serious look in her eyes before shifting her gaze back to the pages opened in front of her. Hermione gasped, pointing out a passage that had the name Nicholas Flamel highlighted. "Of course! Here it is." She whispered dramatically, the three others leaning in to see what she was pointing out.
"Nicolas Flamel is the only known maker of the Sorcerer's Stone!" She read aloud, prompting Y/n to tilt her head curiously.
Harry, Ron and Y/n glance at one another then glance back at Hermione. "The what?" The three exclaimed simultaneously.
