The cold air inside the bunker stung their skin, but as they ventured deeper, the three of them began to explore its depths. Their footsteps echoed off the metallic walls, each one punctuating the tense silence between them. They were on high alert, eyes scanning for any sign of danger—but it seemed they had found an untouched sanctuary beneath the snow.
Luka led the way, her flashlight illuminating the corridor ahead. “This place looks like an old military outpost,” she muttered, her voice tense. “I didn’t expect to find something like this in the middle of nowhere.”
As they turned a corner, Luka stopped short, her light falling on a heavy, reinforced door. Miku stepped forward, pressing her hand against the cold metal. "Do you think there’s anything behind it?"
“Only one way to find out.” Luka pushed the door open, and the three of them gasped at what lay beyond.
It was an armory—shelves filled with weapons, crates of ammunition, and racks of armor. The walls were lined with tactical gear and advanced tech, tools of war that had been forgotten in this hidden place.
Luka’s eyes gleamed as she spotted something in the corner—a suit of power armor, sleek and intimidating, with dark metal plating and glowing blue accents. "Oh, hell yes," she breathed, her hand running over the armor’s surface. “I call dibs!”
Miku and Teto exchanged glances, unable to hold back a smirk as Luka’s excitement spilled over. She wasted no time suiting up, the mechanical parts of the armor whirring as they locked into place. The helmet’s visor glowed faintly, giving her an almost otherworldly appearance.
“This thing is amazing,” Luka said, flexing her armored arms. “I feel invincible.”
While Luka busied herself with her new armor, Miku and Teto focused on gathering weapons. Miku slung a rifle over her shoulder, her expression serious as she examined the various gear. Teto, always the more impulsive one, picked up a set of knives and a small, sleek pistol, spinning the blade between her fingers with practiced ease.
As they armed themselves, the weight of the moment settled on them. The airship loomed outside, Ritsu’s reach growing stronger by the minute. And while the three of them had found a temporary reprieve, they knew what lay ahead would be nothing short of a battle for survival.
Miku swallowed hard, her hands shaking slightly as she secured her equipment. The thought gnawed at her—what if they didn’t make it out of this? What if this was the last time they’d be together?
The fear in her chest twisted, and before she could stop herself, she turned to Teto, her voice low and hesitant. “Teto, I... I need to tell you something.”
Teto looked up, her gaze softening as she met Miku’s eyes. “What is it?”
Miku bit her lip, taking a deep breath to steady herself. “I’ve been thinking... about us. About everything we’ve been through. And I just... I don’t want to go into this fight without telling you—”
Her words faltered, her cheeks growing warm as she struggled to find the right words. “I like you, Teto. I’ve liked you for a while, but I didn’t realize it until recently. And I just thought... if we don’t make it out of this, you should know.”
Teto stared at her for a long moment, her expression unreadable. Miku felt her heart racing in her chest, the silence stretching on painfully.
Just as Miku was about to awkwardly laugh it off and make fun of herself for being so dramatic, Teto stepped forward, closing the space between them. Before Miku could say anything else, Teto leaned in and kissed her.
The world seemed to stop. The cold, the fear, the impending battle—it all melted away in that moment. Miku’s eyes fluttered closed as she kissed Teto back, her heart soaring in her chest. It was soft, warm, and everything she hadn’t realized she’d wanted until now.
When they pulled apart, Teto smiled at her, her eyes sparkling with a mix of relief and affection. “I feel the same way, Miku. I just didn’t know how to say it.”
Miku let out a breath she hadn’t realized she’d been holding, her heart still pounding in her ears. “I’m glad... I’m really glad.”
Before they could say anything more, Luka’s voice cut through the moment. “Alright, lovebirds, time to get serious.”
Miku and Teto shared a final glance, their bond now stronger than ever. They finished arming themselves, the weight of their gear a physical reminder of the battle they were about to face.
As they stepped toward the exit, Luka slammed her armored fist into the bunker’s door, breaking it open with ease. The cold air rushed in, and the sight that greeted them outside was nothing short of terrifying.
The once peaceful Russian town had been reduced to rubble. The airship loomed overhead, its massive mechanical tentacles reaching down to the earth, leaving destruction in its wake. The ground trembled beneath their feet as they watched the airship’s cannon fire another shot, obliterating what little remained of the town.
Miku tightened her grip on her rifle, her face set with determination. “We have to stop her.”
Teto nodded, her eyes filled with resolve. “Together.”
Luka, clad in her power armor, took the lead, her voice steady and calm. “Let’s end this.”
And with that, the three of them stepped forward into the chaos, ready to face Ritsu and whatever horrors she had in store for them. The world may have been crumbling around them, but together, they were ready to fight for whatever was left.
