Familiar Faces along with Explanations

3rd Person POV:

The professor of the region, Eda Clawthorne, was currently in the doorway of the shared room of our group. Luz looked shocked to see the old witch. "W-what are you doing all the way here!?" The human asks as she was having a bit of a hard time comprehending she is even here still.

The loudness also caught Gus and Willow's attention as they also catch sight of the professor; shocking them as well. "Well, I had to check up on my kiddo of course." Eda stated as she patted the latina on the head.

"You could've always just called me on my Rotom Phone." Luz says as she lets the professor inside the room. This is actually when she realizes that Marowak and Hooty were next to the professor as the two Pokémon hug the girl, excited to see the human once again, specifically Marowak for some odd reason. "Guys! Stop it, you're going to squeeze me to death if you continue!" She laughs while saying this as they pull away.

Eda just snorts at this before realizing the other two trainers that stand in front of her. "Oh, Gus and... umm... new girl?" She says as she only remembers Luz having one traveling partner.

"Oh yeah, that's Willow. She actually just joined us and we were about to head out." Luz explains as she pets both Marowak and Hooty.

"You know, that makes a lot more sense than the other idea I had. Anywho, nice to meet you." The old professor says as she sticks her hand towards the dark navy-blue haired witch who quickly shook it with her own.

This is when Oshawott and Rowlet look at Eda as the professor takes notice of them, pulling her hand away from Willow. "Guessing these must be your new Pokémon, right kiddo?" Eda asks as the latina nods. When the two Pokémon looked at the professor though, they could've sworn that they saw that same shadowy figure from their dream for a second. But they just decided to ignore it, guessing that it was a mere illusion due to their lack of sleep.

"By the way, I have a question, Eda." Luz says as the question suddenly popped into her mind. "What's with the magic? I mean, saw Gus use it on the day that we met, but I never really asked for an explanation."

"Oh, I guess I never filled you in on that, did I?" The professor says as she scratches the back of her head before sitting at the dinner table. "Well, sit down because this might take a bit to explain." She points at one of the other chairs while looking at Luz.

"Come on, I just got through a long conversation with Willow. Don't make me go through another long cutscene..." Luz references as she was always annoyed by games who had long cutscenes.

"Don't worry, it won't be that long." She tried convincing the human which just produced a sigh from her as she sat back down at the dinner table. Willow and Gus doing the same as they were already done with all the preparations for leaving and had nothing else to really do.

The professor then sighs as she starts explaining. "You see, this world used to be one of nothingness. The only things that lived were us witches and most could barely survive due to the harsh conditions. Even with our magic it was tough. But one day, a strange looking Pokémon that we have decided to call Arceus came down and granted us our wishes. By using our magic, he created the living things we come to know as Pokémon." She pets Hooty as before continuing. "But because of them using our magic, it means that if our magic would ever go away, they would as well. That's why people use this to a minimum to make sure it doesn't happen."

As she finishes off the story, all three kids are amazed by it. Especially Luz as she hadn't had a clue about all of this while Gus and Willow had heard of this story before, but just thought it was a fairytale. "But what magic can you guys even do?" Luz asks curiously.
