Nova's POV

"I am bored!" Loki said.

I didn't blame him, he had been lying on couch for five whole days with Bruce and Thor's insistence. He had managed to convince them to let him move away from infirmary room so he was lying on couch in living room.

On these five torturously long days (due to Loki's complaints) I found out that strangely I can't stay away from Loki. I had no idea what I was feeling but I would find myself walking to Loki's side each time I stayed away for more than an hour. I knew I had to stay away from him for his own sake, however, an unusual selfishness was stopping me from protecting him.

Of course my thoughts got interrupted by Loki:

"Are you even listening to me?!"

"Nope, I usually tune out your words. You are always saying the same thing anyways." I said with a roll of my eyes.

"That was mean." Loki said.

"Not exactly unexpected from me though." I replied.

"I am bored!" Loki said again probably ignoring my words.

"You said that already for countless times." I said.

I could tell by the way he lounged on the couch, twirling a dagger between his fingers with disinterest that in matter of some seconds an experiment idea will come up. Loki bored was never a bad sign—it meant trouble was brewing. And trouble meant fun.

I glanced around the room. Tony was fiddling with some kind of holographic blueprint, too distracted by his own genius to notice anything around him. Thor was munching on a Pop-Tart in the kitchen, Bruce was reading a book on quantum physics (as usual), Clint was cleaning his arrows while Natasha silently judged everyone and Peter was sitting near to Tony trying to understand his work. Typical day at the compound.

Then it came-the announcement I had been waiting for.

"I've a brilliant idea," Loki declared.

"You said that the last time, and I spent three days stuck as a talking frog. I still get nightmares about eating flies."  Thor said.

"I'm sorry, what?" Tony froze, mid-sip of his coffee.

"You looked quite adorable as a frog, if I may say so." Loki said with a smirk which I knew was a lie since I had to hide a talking-frog-Thor in Loki's room, feed him daily and make up an excuse to Avengers about Thor's absence.
