Nova's POV
I was still in a constant war between my heart and my mind. My mind was yelling at me to stay away from Loki to protect him meanwhile my heart was making me stay with him. So, as expected I was mentally exhausted.
I was brought back to reality when I heard Loki say from his spot from couch:
"I have a question for you."
"Ask then." I said. There was nobody else in the room, since all of the Avengers were in their rooms usually at this hours.
"Why do u keep staying here?" Loki said bluntly.
And well, I was staring at him with my mouth open caught off guard by his question. 'Am I being this obvious?' I thought feeling alarmed.
I mentally scolded myself remembering that Loki was waiting for an answer from me while there were sounding sirens in my mind.
"What you mean?" I asked despite knowing what exactly he meant.
"I mean that you keep staying here, in living room, with me ever since I have been staying here." Loki said with a sigh probably knowing that I was trying to dodge the question. "Despite the fact that, you had never spent more than an hour in living room before."
"Do you mind?" I asked.
"I don't mind, but that is not the point. Stop changing the subject." Loki said with a roll of his eyes.
"I am just bored, that is it." I said trying to brush off the question.
Loki smirked slightly and then got up from coach causing me to jump to my feet.
"What are you doing?! You aren't supposed to get up!" I said with a panic.
"I thought you didn't care about my well-being." Loki said getting dangerously close to me.
Once again, I was speechless. Then I mentally slapped myself to not to look like a fool.
"Well I don't." I said crossing my arms.
"Are you sure about that?" Loki asked.
I nodded. Next thing I knew Loki was kissing me.
And that was enough to send me to a shock and turn my world upside down. But who knows, maybe it would be better?
I heard him say "I love you." when he pulled away, but I couldn't find my voice to say it back.

Two days later
I was starting to think that Tony is obsessed with parties. Because, the second he heard that we had to stay in compound for a day before we travelled to their dimension and finish all this mess, he quickly arranged a party. Everybody protested, but to no avail.
So, we had to dress up and have fun. There was no other option.
When I went downstairs to go to the party I saw Loki standing at the end of stairs, waiting causing me to stop at the last stair.
"Finally." Loki said with a dramatic scoff.
"Complaining already?" I asked.
Loki smirked and held out his hand for me to take. I was going to take his hand but at the last second I decided against it looking at him suspiciously.
"You can't trick me." I said with narrowed eyes.
He sighed and the illusion of Loki offering his hand to me faded away. The real Loki who was standing a few steps away from me was looking at me with a frown since his trick didn't work.
"How did you know?" He asked.
"That is something I would do. So, it wasn't hard to figure out." I said.
Loki offered his hand to me again which I didn't take (obviously).
"I wouldn't do the same trick again." He said.
"Sure, that is why you did the dying trick for hundred times." I said.
He rolled his eyes and instead of waiting for me he suddenly grabbed me by waist effortlessly picking me up from the stair and putting me down onto the ground.
"Show off." I said trying to hold back a smirk.

"Let's play truth or dare!" Overly drunk Scott said.
I shared a look with Loki remembering the last time we did this.
"What about another game?" Loki said in a futile attempt to change their minds.
They were too drunk to hear. They spun the bottle. It landed on Tony and Loki. Recipe for disaster. Loki chose truths. Even worse disaster.
"What is your relationship with Nova?" Tony asked bluntly causing me to almost choke on my spit.
"Well, we are dating," Loki said without a second thought shocking me.
To be fair, I wasn't the only one who was shocked, I could see Thor almost falling from is chair from the corner of eye.
"Loki!" I said.
"What? It is not wrong, is it? especially after last-" He started.
"Finish that sentence and I might reconsider my decision!" I said.
He chuckled and raised his hands in mock surrender, causing me to get even more angry.
"Idiot." I mumbled under my breath.
"When were you going to tell me?!" Thor yelled at Loki which didn't bother him even in slightest bit.
