The drive to the party was filled with chatter as Vinnie went over the details of the night, explaining who was going to be there.

There would be around a hundred people, most of whom he knew from his close-knit circle, but there would also be a few unfamiliar faces. Vinnie listed off names casually, but when he mentioned Nailea—one of the girls Juniper had spoken to frequently on Instagram—her face lit up.

"I've been wanting to meet her for ages," Juniper said, her tone lighter than it had been all week.

The prospect of meeting Nailea in person for the first time was one of the few things that excited her these days. She knew some of the TikTok girls from industry events and fashion shows, so the idea of being around them made her feel a bit more at ease. And she reminded herself that if things got overwhelming, she didn't have to leave Vinnie's side.

"You'll love her. She's just as chill in person as she is online," Vinnie reassured, his eyes glancing over at Juniper as he drove.

The sky was clear, the streetlights casting long shadows on the road as they made their way through LA.

When they finally arrived at the house, the heavy bass of the music reverberated through the car before they even got out. Juniper could feel the beat pulsing through her chest, the energy of the party spilling out onto the street. A line of cars lined the block, and the muffled sounds of laughter and shouting came from inside the house.

"Ready?" Vinnie asked, glancing at her.

Juniper nodded, but her hand instinctively tightened around his arm as they walked up the driveway and through the front door. The house was packed—people were dancing, drinks in hand, while others milled about in groups, talking loudly over the thumping music.

The air was thick with the smell of a mixture of spirits and beer, perfume, and the faint scent of smoke and weed. It felt overwhelming for a second, but as long as she stayed close to Vinnie, she knew she'd be fine.

They weaved through the crowd, Vinnie's arm keeping her anchored to him as they navigated through the throng of partygoers.

Juniper could barely hear anything above the music, but she trusted Vinnie to guide her through. After what felt like an eternity, they finally made it to the backyard. There, things were more relaxed—Vinnie's friends were lounging around a large outdoor couch, talking and laughing. String lights hung from the trees, casting a soft glow over the garden, making it feel like a completely different world from the chaos inside.

Vinnie introduced her to the group, and Juniper smiled warmly at everyone, shaking hands and exchanging names. Among them was Troy, who she recognized immediately from all his comments on her Instagram posts.

He was one of Vinnie's closest friends, and while his admiration for her was well-known, it was endearing. Vinnie immediately started teasing him about trying not to fangirl.

"Dude, relax," Vinnie laughed as Troy tried his best to stay cool, but his grin betrayed him.

Troy cleared his throat, "I'm playing it cool, alright? You don't understand. She's literally iconic."

Juniper couldn't help but chuckle. "You're sweet," she said, enjoying the lightheartedness of the moment.

Noah, another one of Vinnie's friends, handed her a bottle of Corona, and she gratefully accepted. She sank into the couch, still nestled close to Vinnie, the cool night air a welcome relief from the heat of the party.
