The morning sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows of Juniper's Charlottesville hotel room, casting a warm glow over the plush, cream-colored bedding.

Juniper stretched lazily before making her way to the small kitchenette in the corner. She filled the electric kettle with water, already craving the comfort of a steaming cup of Peppermint tea.

As the water boiled, she leaned against the counter, staring out at the skyline. Her mind drifted back to the previous night—her electric performance, meeting the Outer Banks cast, and the hilarious chaos that had ensued backstage. She couldn't help but chuckle.

Just as she poured the hot water over the tea bag, her phone vibrated on the counter. Jack's name lit up the screen, his photo—a candid shot she'd taken of him laughing—making her heart skip a beat.

"Speak of the devil," she murmured, swiping to answer.

Jack's grinning face appeared, slightly pixelated but no less charming. "Morning, superstar," he greeted, his voice teasing.

"Morning, movie star," Juniper quipped back, settling onto the couch with her tea. "You're up early. Thought you'd be busy saving Pandora."

Jack laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. "We had a break in filming, and I figured I'd check in on my favorite pop star . How was the rest of the night?"

Juniper lit up, eagerly recounting her experience. "It was so surreal, Jack. I met the entire Outer Banks cast. Like, the whole gang, minus Rudy. Madelyn, Chase, Drew, everyone. We took photos, joked around—it was the best. They were so sweet."

Jack's expression softened as he watched her excitement. "I saw some clips," he admitted, his tone light but laced with mischief. "You and Drew looked... cosy."

Juniper raised an eyebrow, catching his smirk. "Oh, really? Should I be worried about you stalking my mentions, Champ?"

"Not stalking," he defended with mock seriousness. "Just, you know, keeping tabs. But seriously, should I be worried? 'Drew-niper'... the people are shipping it."

Juniper burst out laughing. "Oh, come on! It was just for the bit. I 'arrested' him, Jack. That's hardly romantic."

Jack leaned closer to the screen, feigning concern. "You sure? He's tall, he's handsome, he's got all that charm. How can a guy compete with Drew Starkey?"

Juniper smirked, leaning into the joke. "I mean... he is pretty dreamy. Maybe I should—"

"Don't even finish that sentence," Jack interrupted, shaking his head, but his laugh betrayed him.

Juniper giggled, waving him off. "Relax, Champ. You know I've got my eyes on one man only."

Jack's teasing demeanor faltered for a moment, his cheeks turning the faintest shade of pink. "Oh yeah? Who's the lucky guy?"

"Hmm," Juniper teased, tapping her chin. "He's an actor. Kinda goofy but in a cute way. Loves sci-fi, hates losing at Mario Kart... You might know him."

Jack laughed, a soft, genuine sound that made Juniper's chest feel warm. "You're something else, you know that?"

"And don't you forget it," she shot back with a wink.
