Sunny had an unhappy look on her face.
"Why didn't anybody tell me?"
Sunny asked, but nobody answered. I felt guilty, but she wasn't very good at keeping secrets, so we couldn't tell her.
"Okay."
Glory sighed. Her green eyes showed again, halfway across the cave. She was looking at Clay.
"Do whatever you want, as long as you're not doing it for only for me. I will stay out of the way until Clay comes back to us."
I was nervous, to say the least. I was worried. I shivered anxiously. I felt Starflight wrap his tail around mine. My anxiety calmed a little. Clay had a look of determination on his face, I knew he was gonna save us, save Glory.

"I hate this,"
Tsunami said softly.
"I hate this a lot."
She beat her wings against the chains that were trapping her.
"I don't like this either."
I added.
"Shhhh."
Starflight scolded from along the riverbank. Clay stood at the shallows. He was shivering as the icy water splashed over his talons. I liked the cold water, I don't get why he didn't.
"Are we sure this is the only way?"
Sunny asked. She splashed the river with her tail.
"I bet I could think of some more ideas, with a little more time."
"But we don't have any time."
I said. I felt bad.
"Follow the current and don't leave the river. If it goes out into the world anywhere, the current should take you there."
Starflight flight told Clay.
"Stop and rest anytime you find a place to breathe. If you can't find a place where you can, don't panic. You'll only run out of air quicker."
Starflight added on. Clay looked like he was whispering something to Glory. I could kinda hear what they were saying.
"Me too."
Starflight said. Sunny nodded. She twined her tail in Glory's and touched one of Clays talons.
"Good luck."
Said Glory. She stepped out of the river and melted back into the darkness.
"Be really, really careful, Clay."
Tsunami said. The chains were tight around her legs and neck as she leaned toward them.
"Come back if you have to. Don't keep going if it's too dangerous."
"Don't die, please."
I added, giving Clay a smile.
"You all stay safe, too."
Clay said. He took a deep breath.
"I'll be rolling away that boulder before you know it."
He said before diving into the river. Before I knew it, I couldn't see him in the water anymore.

Tsunami looked deep in thought.
"What is it, Tsunami?"
I asked.
"If Kestrels flames merged the chains together, maybe fire could break them a part."
She said.
"That's a good idea."
Starflight replied.
"What about Y/Ns frostbreath? Maybe she could break them a part?"
Sunny asked.
That sounds fun
Darkstalker
No! I'm not gonna kill my friend. You come back and want me to hurt my friend. What the hell.
It was worth a shot.
"I don't think that's a good idea, Sunny. If I hit her, I could possibly kill her."
I replied.
"You and Starflight should just use your flames."
I sighed. I wished I was more help.
"I agree."
Starflight said. Tsunami nodded.
"Good point."
Sunny said.
Orrrrr, you could use your animus magic.
Shut the fuck up.
I started zoning put. I just watched as the flames got hotter and hotter. It took a while. But the chains were broken. Then Tsunami dived into the river, following Clay.
"Good work."
I said.
"Let's just hope they get out soon."
Sunny said. I rested my head on Starflights shoulder, he shivered. I assumed it was because I was naturally cold, supposed to be anyway.
"We should start making the fire, from the scrolls."
Starflight said.
The next few minutes were a blur. Scrolls were being lit on fire.

I watched as the boulder opened. We were free. I was waiting with. A smile grew on my face as I saw Tsunami and Clay.
"Where are the others?"
Clay asked.
"I'll go get Statflight."
Sunny said.
"We don't know where Glory is."
I added.
"Right here."
A voice whispered, Glory. Her scales shifted from grey and black into a warm golden orange flecked with dark blue.
"You're all right. That's a relief."
Clay said.
"Of course I am, I would have been fine on my own, you know."
Glory said.
"But thank you for doing this insanely dangerous thing for me anyway."
My head was a fuzz. I hadn't even noticed that Sunny and Tsunami had left.
"Anytime."
He replied.
Starflight staggered out of the tunnel from the study cave. I smiled as I saw him.
"Kestrel was pretty furious. I just had to listen to her from my hiding place. Those three for the brunt of it."

Glory said. I sighed. Clay looked forward, and so did I. Tsunami and Sunny were on either side of Starflight. Clay looked worried for a moment, then didn't.
"I tried to convince him not to take all those scrolls."
I sighed.
"Oh, no, you don't."
Tsunami said, pulling it away from him.
"We don't need these, plus you've read these all a million times."
"We might need them."
Starflight protested. He yanked it back.
"They'll tell us what is safe to eat and all the different tribal customs and how to fly in bad weather, and -
"You can tell us those things. You're going to anyway."
Clay said.
"But what if I forget something important?"
Starflight said.
"You never forget anything."
I chuckle.
"The only thing that's important is getting out of here right now."
Tsunami said.
"And before Webs and Dune wake up."
I said.
"And before Kestrel comes back."
Glory added.

"What thrilling news. Kestrel is part of this? I've been looking for her for an awfully long time."
All six of us whirled around. A giant skywing was standing in the entranceway. Behind her, the tunnel was blocked by a row of Skywings. They were alm angry. But none were as angry as her.
