Kanan POV
I watched the girl buckle Nick and herself. She reached to take something off his neck, it was a necklace. It looked like the one Ezra had. Only dirtier. They both looked underfed, overtired and the girl looked scared. "Hey, look at me, look at me," she looked up her green eyes filled with tears. "You're gonna be alright. Okay? I'm going to take you somewhere you can get some help." She nodded. "Okay then." She unzipped her bag and pulled out an old dirty, falling-apart bear, wearing an old sweater.

Kayla POV.
We stopped at a light and the guy looked back at me. "I know his name, what's yours?" He asked looking at me. "K Kayla, my name is Kayla." I shuddered a nervous habit that I had developed, especially when Nick wasn't there. It's silly I know I can take out a pack of troopers nobody's bisnuess but I'm scared not having my brother by my side, we already lost, Mom and dad and him, we were all each other had left. I remember their last moments. We pulled up to the hospital. I watched them wheel Nick away on a stretcher, of course I tried to follow. But ponytail stopped me. I tried to resist, It's no use. I stopped struggling and he let go.

When Kayla was able to see Nick again. Her breath caught in her throat. He was lying very limp, and still, he had a I.V. in his hand, and a breathing tube was under his nose. She walked over to him and sat down. Taking his hand she started shaking, visibly shaking. "P please be okay Nick. I don't know what to do. I need you here with me. I already lost mom, dad and older brother, you lost your twin. We've suffered enough, I need you to be okay, I need you to be strong. I-I need you Nicky." She said holding his hand in both of her's. Wet spots on the blanket darkened as Kayla's tears ran down her face and dropped. She felt, scared, that her brother wasn't going to wake up, sad, that he was like this, grief, for the rest of her family, angry, at Sythh who had beaten him up in the first place, and Alone, Nick was the one person who she felt safe around, she couldn't imagine what it would be like to have him taken away. A hand was placed on her shoulder. The cop who'd brought them here was staring down at her. "The best thing you can do for your brother is let the doctors do their jobs." He stated gently. He looked over the girl, she seemed, about 14, was maybe 3 foot 5" her green eyes were fierce with determination. "He's all the family I have left. He's the one good thing that has been constantly in my life." Kanan understood, She could probably relate to Ezra.
