I am sorry for irregular updates. Its just my sister is getting married in a month and I have A LOT of work to do.
But I will try to make some time for writing and give you nice updates.
Sarthak's POV
It was seven in the evening. Hours since I have been thrown out of my wife's office on the orders of my wife only.
Sighing, I rested my right elbow on the car's window and plopped my head on the knuckles. Tapping the steering wheel with other hand, I waited for Prerna.
I came here to take her home and I won't leave without her.
My neck and back was sore after sitting in one position for hours in the small space of a car where I had no room to even stretch my arms.
And thankfully I wasn't blacklisted thanks to my last name. I told them I was their CEO's lovely and charming brother-in-law and they left me with a warning.
A while ago, I had no intentions of flirting with her employee. I was simply asking her the direction to Prerna's office. But then I saw Prerna feom my periphery. She looked so controlled, so collected, and calm like a dangerous sea.
And I wanted to see some tides in the sea.
So I flirted. Only to see her reaction. For an moment, I doubted if she would be affected at all. She neither loved me nor liked me.
Logically, she had no reason to be jealous, did she?
But she was. And I liked it. Only until I was thrown out.
I came out of my chain of thoughts when I saw Prerna exiting the building.
Her long hair danced with each step she took down the stair. Her bag rested beautifully on her forearm. Her beautiful flare dress fit her perfectly, hugging her torso and loose below her waist. She walked confidently in those heels as if they were a part of her body. The pearls adorned her neck and a butterfly brooch shone against her chest.
She had the stealth and grace of a tigress and elegance of a queen.
And she was both for me– Tigress and Queen.
Seeing her turn to walk to her own car, I pressed the middle of the steering wheel twice. The honk succeeded to take her attention, because she looked straight at me.
Even from the distance I could see her eyebrows raise slightly in amusement before she covered it up. I flexed my fingers, gesturing her to come to me.
She sighed and muttered something to the sky before shaking her head and walking towards my car.
Thank God she was not refusing this time. I was already very tired after waiting for her for so long.
My eyes followed her movement as she walked to me with all the grace a woman could have. Opening the door to the passenger seat, she settled inside and threw her bag to the backseat.
"Why did you comeback?" Prerna asked, buckling her seat belt. Her voice seemed tired, unlike her appearance.
"I never left." I informed and she finally looked at me with wide eyes.
The engine roared and I drove out of the company premises.
None of us said another word and silence engulfed the car, loud and clear.
Through my periphery, I could see Prerna digging her own nails into her palms.
"What else did you two talk about?" She muttered slowly, looking ahead at the road. It took me a second to understand her quiet words.
