Sarthak's POV

"No entry for you, boy." Naina bhabhi blocked my way as I tried to enter the Haldi ceremony.

I wore a white kurta-pyjama with a yellow shawl. I looked over Naina Bhabhi's shoulder to see Prerna wearing a yellow, full sleeve blouse and a yellow skirt. Her hair were secured in a beautiful braid and she looked ethereal.

"Bhabhi, I guess, you are forgetting that it is my Haldi ceremony." I tried to walk past her and she blocked my way again.

"Nah uh, boy." She shook her head with a playful smile and pushed me back, and Prerna was no longer in my view.

"The bride and groom cannot see each other before wedding. It's a tradition." She informed and I frowned.

Why can't I see the bride? She was my bride dammit. I can see her all I want.

"I don't remember any such tradition being followed in your wedding." I argued, visibly unhappy about not being able to see my woman.

Shobhit Bhai and Naina Bhabhi were allowed to see each other all they wanted. They attended all the ceremonies and performed all the rituals together.

I remember, that was the time when I saw Prerna being the carefree for the first time ever. She was always so guarded but that day, she threw away all her coldness and enjoyed her only friend's wedding.

That day I fell for her all over again, seeing her playful personality. She was uncaged and unbothered. She was her.

"Yeah, because no such tradition is followed in our family. It's a tradition in Mathur family so," Bhabhi shrugged and I resisted the urge to roll my eyes.

"It's the Mathur family's tradition, so they should follow it. Why should I?" I almost whined like a child. "Tell Prerna to follow the tradition and not look at me, but I'll definitely look at her."

She looked at me with her exasperated expressions. "Sarthak, your haldi ceremony is after two hours. Till then do whatever the hell you want but just get out of here."
