Jin paced back and forth in the living room, worry visible on his face. The clock ticked past midnight, but there was still no sign of Jungkook. His phone had been buzzing with unanswered calls for hours. When Jungkook finally picked up, his voice came out whispered, weak. The second Jin heard the hurt in Jungkook's tone, the breath caught in his throat.

"Jungkook, where the hell are you? You left without telling anyone, didn't pick up my calls-" Jin stopped mid-sentence. The usually strong, confident voice of the younger was cracked, weighed down by something deeper than exhaustion. He realized then, Jungkook wasn't just distant...he was broken.

"Hyung..." Jungkook's voice trembled, barely a whisper. "I... I'm sorry..."

Jin's heart raced with worry. "Jungkook, where are you? Stay where you are, I'm coming to get you."

Jin found Jungkook sat down at the back of a dimly lit bar, his head in his hands, empty shot glasses scattered around. His eyes were red and swollen from crying. Jin barely recognized him-this wasn't the strong, confident Jungkook he knew. He gently helped him out of the bar, wrapping his arm around Jungkook's trembling shoulders, but the younger man seemed utterly defeated, broken in a way Jin had never seen before.

Back at Jungkook's house, the silence was echoing. No one lived here accept him, the house was dark, not until jin turned the light on. Jin led Jungkook to the couch, but as soon as they sat down, Jungkook broke. His tears fell like a flood, each sob shaking his entire body.

"Hyung..." Jungkook gasped, choking on his words. "He... He has a daughter."

Jin blinked in confusion, wiping away the tears streaming down Jungkook's face. "What? Who has a daughter?"

"Tae..." Jungkook sobbed harder. "The love of my life... He has a daughter, hyung. I didn't... I didn't know. I followed him home, and there she was... this little girl. He has a child, and I-" his voice cracked. "I'm nothing to him."

Jin's heart broke seeing jungkook in this state, but he can't do anything. He could only hold Jungkook as he crumbled in his arms. Jungkook gripped Jin's shirt tightly, his voice a mixture of pain and regret.

"I'm so stupid, hyung," Jungkook muttered bitterly. "I've spent all this time pretending to hate him, pretending to be his enemy just to be near him. I thought if I could just stay close, maybe one day I'd find the courage to tell him how I feel. But now... now I know I've lost him. He was never mine. He's got someone else, a family... and I'm nothing."

He wiped his face roughly, his hands trembling. "I've never been brave enough to tell him the truth. I've just been this... this coward, hiding behind insults and fights. And now... now I know I've lost him forever."

Jin held him tighter, tears forming in his own eyes. "Jungkook, you-"

"I can't imagine him with someone else," Jungkook interrupted, his voice breaking. "Every time I close my eyes, I see him... with someone else. I see him happy, with his d-daughter, and I'm not part of that picture. I never will be. I've spent all this time hoping, hyung, but now... what's the point?"

Jungkook's body shook with another sob, his voice barely audible. "It hurts so much... I love him, hyung. I fucking love him more than I can even say. But he... he never even knew."

His voice was so fragile, so lost, that Jin's chest tightened painfully. Jungkook's sobs filled the room, making everything feel heavier, suffocating. "I've always been too late, haven't I? Always pretending to be something I'm not, and now it's too late... It's too late, and I can't even hate him for it. I hate myself for not telling him sooner, for being a coward. I hate myself for l-loving him so much... and for losing him before I even had the chance."
