"Work keeps our minds active. It keeps us out of trouble. When we're not working, our hands are idle and the Devil will find work for idle hands to do. And when you have an idle mind, well, that's the Devil's playground too. At first, idleness can seem like a welcome distraction. The troublemaking and the fun. Everyone needs some idle time to focus on something other than work. Even if it means focusing on something that's a little bit scary. Stepping back from work is the only way to get perspective. And it's only after we have everything in perspective that we remember where our hands truly belong"
"with my idle hands, there's nothing I can do but be the devil's plaything, baby and know that i've been used"
In the ER, Owen and Aurora admired the new LODOX. "Thirteen seconds to run a low-exposure, high-resolution, full-body x-ray", Owen said. "When this ER reopens tomorrow, this thing is gonna save us time, money, and lives".
"Say that first part again"
"What, 13 seconds for a full-body x-ray? We're gonna be able to do a complete evaluation of GSWs, stabbings, crush injuries without ever having to leave this ER"
"Do you like your new toy?" She put her arms around his neck.
"Yeah"
"Then shut up and thank me for it"
He laughed and kissed her.
Cristina and Lucy approached Derek and Meredith, holding their new coffee cups. "We needed the coffee sleeves, right? They're a good expense?" Meredith said, taking Cristina's and inspecting it. "Yeah, for branding. We had a 17-hour meeting about it", Cristina replied. They walked over to the nurses station where Richard, Jackson, Beck and Aurora were. "I love the new logo. It really catches the eye", Richard commented. "And those coffee sleeves, excellent thermal retention". "What's up with the sheet?" Lucy asked, pointing at the sheet that covered the hospital sign. "I thought you guys put it there for some kind of unveiling", Jackson answered. "No", Derek said. "Well, somebody should say a few words, right? I mean, it's unlucky not to", Richard stated. "Hey, why are you guys staring at the wall?" Arizona questioned, walking over with Callie. "We're waiting for the big unveiling", Beck said. "Well, you should be staring at my wife", Callie said. "New haircut?" Aurora guessed.
"No, it's her leg. She's wearing high heels. Because she has a sexy high-heel leg that makes her ass go pow"
"Baby got back", Cristina commented.
"Come on, guys. You can comment, too. You have permission. It's the one time in your life you can say it... And not be gross"
"Well, I think it's a fine gluteal...", Richard began. "Oh, no. Yeah. Let's do just the unveiling", Arizona interjected. "Guys, I think the painters actually just left that there", Jackson said and he pulled the sheet away revealing the new sign. "Let's get back to work. End of speech". Everyone walked off except Aurora and Beck. "You didn't come home last night", Aurora said.
"I didn't think you wanted me to"
"Well, it's your place, too"
"Okay"
"Where'd you sleep last night?"
"Just let me know whenever Owen stays over and I'll find somewhere else to be, okay?"
"Awesome. We are awesome. Did you see our picture in this?" Cristina said, holding a magazine. "I'm at 28 weeks and I am worried about DiGeorge syndrome", Meredith said. "DiGeorge? There's, like, what, a one in 100,000?" Alex said. "It's too rare. More likely it'll have a cleft palate or a heart defect". "That's great, Alex. Put that in her head", Lucy said. "Wait, if your baby has a heart defect, I will fix it", Cristina said. "What about phenylketonuria?" Meredith asked. "No, we screen for that at birth and treat it with diet", Alex replied.
