Chapter 29: the rise of jaladdin

Red's POV

A/N i am sorry if this feels rushed,

2 weeks after the visit and schools continued

I was walking with Chloe's hand in hand, witch that was the only thing keeping me sane. Literally everybody we passed either gave us a concerned look or a scared face, like we were the plague or something. All day, that's what we'd see. When it was finally lunch, Chloe went to get us our lunch. I just sat at our table, praying nobody would notice me, but alas, the gods were against me. Not even a minute after I sat down, a girl came over to the table. I recognized her as one of Chloe's sword and shield teammates.

"So, you're the lucky girl who finally claimed Chloe's heart," she said, smirking. I looked up at her, already feeling pissed. "Whats that supposed to mean?!" I asked. Her smirk grew wider. "I'm just saying, many...people have tried and failed, but somehow, you managed to win her over." I glared at her, quickly realizing the kind of person she was. "You talk about her as if she's just an object to be toyed with," I growled. She took a step back, her happy demeanor disappearing. "You did something to her," she spat, her tone filled with anger. "What?" I said, becoming increasingly furious. "She never had any issues with cute boys until she met you," she stated, acting like she was the only one who had noticed. "Chloe hasn't been interested in boys since she was 12, so this is nothing new," I said, trying to remain calm. She glared at me. "Since you can't understand it nicely-" "That was nice?" I scoffed, interrupting her. She scowled at me before continuing, "I'll be direct with you" she said slamming her hands on the table "Stay away from Chloe before we start having problems." I glared back at her before standing up. "The moment you came to my table, we had problems, and now, well..." i growled, She took a step back, horror on her face.

"Uh, Red... honey, your eyes," I heard Chloe's shocked voice behind the girl. "and Um, Jade, what are you doing over here?" I saw a questioning look on Chloe's face. "Oh, nothing, just telling your 'friend' something, then her eyes just started glowing all weird and all," she sneered. "You sure you wanna be with this psycho?" Chloe stared at her, stunned. It was taking everything in me not to fling myself at her. "Jade, what the heck? She's my girlfriend. Of course, I love her," Chloe said angrily, still confused. Jade merely smiled at her before glaring at me. Now, I know I'm supposed to be 'scared' of her, but I'm not, Like at all. I smirked at her before she walked off to her table, engulfed in whispered questions. Chloe watched stunned as she walked off.

"You alright, Red?" she asked, turning to me. "Oh yeah, I'm fine. Apparently, she doesn't like us being together," Chloe sighed, as if she already knew about this. "She likes things to be the 'proper' way," she calmly explained. "Why is this entire school filled with bitches?" I groaned as we sat down. "Who even are her parents?" I asked. "Jasmin and Aladdin," she replied with a smile as if she was anticipating my next sentence. "You mean Jaladdin's kid?" we both chuckled before starting to eat. I vaguely noticed Chloe staring at me. "Yes," I smirked, looking up at her. "Red, what's going on with you?" she asked in a serious voice. "What do you mean, Chlo?" She sighed. "Why do your eyes keep...Glowing?" i shook my head "I have no clue. I don't think it's ever happened until you mentioned it in the bathroom," I said, puzzled. "Is it a Wonderland thing?" she asked, eating a fry. "I've only seen a few people from Wonderland, but none of them have had glowing eyes," I remarked, trying to remember. "Red, I have to tell you something about that nightma-" the bell cut her off. "Can it wait till later, Chloe? I'd like to be the first one to art today," I asked. She just nodded before we went our separate ways.
