Chloe's POV

It took a huge amount of effort to get Red Down Stairs to actually eat. She has this weird habit of not wanting to eat, and whenever I try to ask why, she always interrupts me. Knowing her, it probably had to do with the Queen of Hearts. It always did. *Sigh* But every time the queen gets brought up, she recoils and looks down at her feet with a pained expression.

I dragged Red, even though she was following me really slowly. I sat her down at an empty table and then went to get in line. When I returned, I saw a boy staring at Red. I couldn't tell if it was a friendly stare, I shot him a glare to let him know that she was mine. As soon as I did, he looked down at his food.

feeling satisfied, I went over to Red, who was on her phone. When she saw me coming, she put it down and looked at the food with a twinkle in her eye before saying, "Wow, you really must be hungry." I laughed and replied, "It's for the both of us, princess." I noticed Red's face turning even redder as I laughed, and then she smiled. She looked at the food and then back at me, saying, "Chloe, I said I wasn't hungry." I responded, "I know, and that's why it's an option for you." She looked at me as if I had just said something completely new to her. I laughed and handed her a fry. She accepted it hesitantly and bit off half of it clean. I laughed again as I saw her eyes light up and quickly ate the other half. I said, "Good? There's a lot more," nudging the tray closer to her. She stared at me like I had ten heads before taking another fry. During that whole 1-hour-long dinner, she had 4 fries and 3 apple slices, and to me, even though it was small, that was a win.

A/N  Hey guys, sorry this is so short. I just have to get another chapter done before a big game-changing chapter, and I'm kind of running out of ideas. So yeah, I hope you enjoy this chapter. L
