As I stood there stunned and lost in thought, I was startled when I heard a voice behind me. Without thinking clearly, I blurted out, "Red?" with hope sparking in my chest. "Better," Jade smiled in response. I scowled at her and asked, "What now?" She smirked and replied, "Now you can see why I thought you were available," she stated slyly. Frustrated, I clenched my fists and angrily told her, "I swear if you don't stop talking... I'm really not in the mood, Jade." oblivious of how to stop, she continued, "I mean, you could have easily fooled half the school," taking a step closer to me. Exhausted by her presence, I acted on impulse and struck her foolish face with such force that she stumbled back, groaning in pain. "You seriously need to learn to be quiet," I remarked before making my way toward the school, leaving jade to fix her face. As I walked away from Jade, my mind was racing with a mix of guilt and frustration. I couldn't believe I had actually lashed out like that. I knew it was wrong, but in that moment, I couldn't control my anger.
I could have followed Red, but after what just went down, I don't think I should. There's way more to Red than what she's told me, and right now she doesn't trust me enough to say anything. I think I have been doing this the wrong way. By being right there all the time, I haven't been giving her the space that she needs. Like she said, it's going to take a bit to understand everything, not to mention she thinks I cheated on her. If I'm going to do anything, I'm going to prove that I didn't cheat on her. But how? Idea, though. I don't know what she will do with it. Completely forgetting about the fact I punched a kid, I bolted to my room.
i was Relieved when Red wasn't there, I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen and started writing. After I finished scribbling, I folded the note. Walking over to Red's side of the room, I found her sketchbook and flipped to the page she was currently working on. I slid the note in without looking at the drawing, though I was tempted. Then I laid the book on Red's bed. I know for a fact Red will notice it's moved; she never puts anything anywhere without a reason. After I had finished with spy mode, I headed down to get some dinner. After going through the line, I found mine and Red's usual spot and sat down. Since our first argument, we had been sitting on opposite ends of the table. I sat there in silence, enjoying my food as best as I can. When the bell signaling dinner was over rang, I grew worried. Red hadn't shown up at all.
Feeling anxious, I decided to take a walk around campus before curfew to clear my head. After leaving the building, I absentmindedly walked around. Every now and then, I looked up to find couples of all kinds hanging out. After seeing them, I would immediately look down again. Red and I had been one of those couples, but now Red could barely stand to be in the same room as me, let alone kiss me. It was starting to get dark, and I found myself on the opposite side of the school. If I continued straight, I should be back at my room before it got pitch black. After a minute or two of walking, I started to take the right turn that leads to the entrance. Before I could take any more steps, I heard sniffling noises. Immediately, I was on edge. For a moment, I thought about how, before all this happened, I wouldn't have really cared. But now, everything could be another person who has a passion to kidnap. (shell be fine)
"Who's there?" I said, my hand on my sword, ready and walking closer to the noise. It grew silent. "Who's there?" I heard someone shout. "Uh, unless you're a teacher or student, you can't be here," I said cautiously. I heard a snigger that I've heard before. "Red? Is that you?" I asked, turning the corner to find Red standing on guard, her hand in her pocket. "Oh... it's you," Red said bitterly. I sighed before saying, "I'll leave you alone... just at least go back to our dorm. I don't want you getting hurt." Red just stared at me as I started back towards the school door. "I'll wait as long as you need, princess," I whispered before turning the corner and heading inside.
