Sophia’s POV
I turned around on my bed, hugging the duvet to my body. As I expected, Sarah had turned my room to hers but she had moved back to she and Simon’s shared room till I leave again. Simon and I were discharged yesterday night and I had been sleeping ever since.
I opened my eyes and yawned, then stretched. I picked up my phone and checked the time. It was Sunday. Almost one pm. I picked up my phone and decided to call Ian first. I was supposed to call him since yesterday yet I had failed to do that. At least Jenny had spoken to him and assured him that I was okay.
I ran my hands through my hair as I dialed his number and I waited for him to pick up his call. He picked up on the second ring.
“Who am I speaking with?” He asked flatly and I frowned. Didn’t he have my number again? Or did I dial someone else?
I removed the phone from my ear. It was his name. It was his voice. My frown deepened as I put the phone to my ear once again. “Did you delete my number or something?”
“I needed to make sure that it was you I was really speaking to,” he answered. “I told you to tell me when you get home yesterday.”
“I wanted to,” I answered.
“Then why didn’t you?” He asked.
“I didn’t have the chance,” I answered.
“How do you feel?” He asked with a sigh.
“Much better, thanks,” I answered.
“You haven’t been resting much?” He asked.
“I have,” I assured him. “I just had quite a lot of things to do yesterday so I didn’t have the chance to rest when I got home.”
“I almost got on a flight to come check on you, but your best friend, Jenny, assured me that you were okay,” he said.
“I am okay,” I assured him. “I’m very fine. I just needed to rest a bit.”
“Well do that. Okay?” He said.
“I will, I promise,” I answered. “I miss you,” I added quietly.
“I think I miss you more,” he replied. “Nah, I definitely miss you more.”
I chuckled. “I’ll speak to you later,” I told him and then hung up.
“Ugh. You lover birds annoy me sometimes.”
I almost jumped out of my bed at Jenny’s voice that came out of nowhere. Where the heck was she?
“Oops, did I scare you?” She asked in an innocent voice as she sat up on the floor, staring at me from lowered lashes.
“No you didn’t scare me,” I answered flatly and ran my hands through my hair.
“Lies. I scared you,” she murmured.
“You wish,” I answered, rolling my eyes. “Did you sleep on the floor?”
“Yep,” she answered and nodded. “I didn’t want to make you feel inconvenience on the bed so I decided to sleep on the floor instead. Don’t worry, I don’t have body pains. And Yes, I’m fine. Very fine.”
“What makes you think I care about all that you just said?” I asked, raising a brow at her.
“You do, whether you admit it or not,” she answered. “Anyways, as I said earlier, you lovebirds annoy me a lot.”
“Finally you know how I feel when you’re rambling about Ronan,” I shot back with a roll of my eyes, swinging my legs down the edge of the bed and then getting up from the bed.
