Episode 3: Scaredy cats

Thunder strikes the sky as the spooky manor comes into view. You could hear the ominous
sounds of the Oregon playing from the inside. The group made their way down the long corridor, taking steps of caution, for they did not know what was ahead.

"-oh, this place is spooky." Ragatha says, taking in their surroundings. "I wonder how hard Caine's gonna go with the scare-factor-"

"Ragatha, with all respect- scratch that. Ahem,
with no respect stop talking before you give
Y/n a heart attack." Jax interrupted her, pointing out the fact that you were clinging to him already shaking like a leaf.

Ragatha blinked at the sight before giving an apologetic smile.
Y/n paid no mind to her and focused on staying close to Jax. You glanced around the room frantically for a potential jumpscare.

"-I hope this adventure doesn't end up being another horrible nightmare." Pomni whispered to Ragatha. "I'm not really a fan of horror myself, and I don't really handle jumpscare that well..."

"BOO!" Jax suddenly pops out of nowhere.

Pomni and y/n both shout in horror, making Jax let out a loud cackle.

"Come on, that wasn't even scary. What? Are y'all scared of a vacuum cleaner too?" He teased. He grabbed a vacuum and shoved the nozzle at your faces. You turned around and punched him in the arm. "Ack! I don't know why YOU jumped when I told you I was going to scare her!" Jax whined, rubbing his arm.

"Maybe it's because we're in a haunted mansion! You know how much I hate this stuff." You snapped back, walking away from him. He always took everything as a joke, but you didn't find it very funny.

"Don't be like that, y/n.." Jax sighed. He didn't like watching you walk away from him, but he also didn't want to seem like he was chasing after you.

He stood there for a moment contemplating before groaning irritably. "Sweetheart, I'm sorry-" He marched off towards you, leaving Pomni and Ragatha behind.

"Geez, seems like everyone has been having a rough day. Some more than others." Ragatha shook her head and gestures for them to keep walking.

They joined Kinger and Gangle as they searched through the room.

"Does anybody hear that?" Gangle spoke up with concern.

Giggling noises grew louder and a small ghost with bright white teeth appeared in the middle of the room.

Pomni let out a loud shriek and her eyes popped out her head. You soon followed after, only you almost passed out from the sight.
Luckily though, Jax caught you before you hit the ground.

The ghost then shrunk into a more cute version of itself. "-Hey, I'm ghostly! And I'll be your guide today!"

"Wha-" Pomni's eyes dropped to the ground with returning to her sockets.

Jax looked down at you and patted your cheek to help coax you back conscious. You slowly blink your eyes open. You stare up at Jax for a good minute before finally saying something. "...are you an Angel?"

"Don't make me drop you."

Pomni picked up her eyeballs off the floor. "Why...won't they go back in?" Kinger chuckles at her. "I remember my first wild take." He walks up to her and take of the eyeballs from her hand. "I don't know why they're not retracting, though."
He tried to stick it back in but it just popped out again. "That didn't happen for me."

"Before you continue on your adventure, you have to choose what door you're gonna go through!" Ghostly informed the group.

Y/n took a good look at the ghost.
"Who is this DIVA💜?" You squealed.

Jax looked at you funny. "...diva?"

"The door on the left is the NORMAL door!"
"RATED WOW FOR ALL AGES!"

"-The door on the right is the really scary door."
"RATED AHHH! FOR MATURE ZOOBLES ONLY!"

"It's up to you to deci—" Sadly Ghostly is interrupted because Jax decides to suck him up with a vacuum cleaner.

"Jax!" Ragatha shouts at him.

You stare at him with a completely horrified expression.

"-what? I thought we were supposed to capture all the ghosts." Jax put it simply. You smack Jax on the back of the head. "Agh! Would you stop hitting me!?"

You stuck your tongue out at him. You walk over next to Pomni, decidedly giving Jax the silent treatment.

Jax gave you a long blank stare and sighed. "Guess I'm sleeping on the floor tonight."

Gangle walked up behind him, not noticing the frustrated look he had on his face. "Which door should we choose?" She asked.

Jax rolled his eyes. Whatever, he needed a distraction. "Hmm, not sure." He glanced over at gangle and smirked. "Let's try this out." He ripped Gangle's comedy mask off her face and chucked it at one of the doors.

The door burst into a large open mouth, swallowing the mask.

"Awww..."

"Don't worry, Gangle! I'll get it for you!" Kinger yelled, starting to rush towards the entrance of the mouth. He threw himself inside, but neglected to remember that he was still holding Pomni's eye. The cord attached to it only dragged down with them until eventually dragging her as well.

And you. Poor you just happened to be standing in a way for the cord to wrap around your ankle and drag you down into the bottomless pit as well. You and Jax made eye contact just before you fell over the edge.

"NOT AGAINNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!" You screamed all the way down until the mouth shut and your screams faded into silence.

Jax and the others stood dumbstruck at what just happened.

"Two episodes in a row?! Come on!" Jax shouted to no one in particular.
