Episode 4: Suggestions?

"-Today's adventure is...THE CURSE OF THE VIOLENT PYCHOPATH BUTCHER!" Caine dramatically announces to the group.

You laugh, throwing your hands up and turning to walk off. Jax grabs you by the shoulder and pulls you back.
"I don't think so, Hotstuff." Jax whispered.

"That's right! Scary human meat is all over the walls, and, boy, is it smelly! It's up to you to—"

"-Okay, wait, wait wait. Can we, like, chill with the horror?"
Pomni interrupts Caine. "Please? I really don't want this to be like last time." She begged.

Zooble turned to her. "What happened last time? Was that the one made for me?"

"-There was this awful, horrifying Angel head thing. And when we tried to fight back at all, we got sent to Hell, where evils souls tried to infest our bodies. It was bad." Pomni explained as she shivered thinking about it.

Zooble stared down at the floor for a minute. "Why did you think I would like that?" She asked Caine.

Caine huffed, putting his hands on his hips. "Well, if you're all gonna be such CRITICS, why don't you suggest a better one?"

"We do! Have you not checked the suggestion box once?" Zooble exaggerated.

Caine looked over to a box full of suggestions letters blankly.
"-Gonna be real, I forgot we had that."

Zooble sighed and rolled their eyes.
"I knew it."

"We have a suggestion box?" Pomni asked.

"Basically, no."

Caine ripped the box off the wall, causing a leak to sprout between the cracks of its anterior.

Jax quickly stepped out of the splash zone, leaving you to get drenched.

"JAX-"

"Payback for earlier."

"Die."

Caine stared at The leak on the wall.
"Bubble, plug that up."
Bubble swooped over and stuck their tongue over the leak. "-Bleh!"

Caine reached into the box and pulled out a letter. "How about an adventure where Zooble gets turned into a piñata, and we all take turns beating them up?"

"Heh, that one's mine." Jax chuckles.

"Oh, so you want to beat Zooble up but not me?" You scoff, placing your hands on your hips. "I see how it is."

He looks at you a bit concerned.
"Why would I want that?"

You put a hand up in front of his face.
"Stop, I don't want to hear your excuses."

"...huh??"

Caine cleared his throat and tossed aside the letter before grabbing a new one. "Let's just have an adventure where Jax can't talk..." Caine zipped his mouth shut so his words sound muffled. "Through the whole thing."

Jax placed a hand to his chest.
"Genuinely hurtful. How dare you torture Y/n like that?"

"I was actually the one who wrote it." You shrugged.

Jax gasped "TRAITOR!"

Zooble chuckled, giving Y/n a fist bump.

"Can we maybe pick one that's more...normal?" Gangle asked timidly.

"-W-Well, I don't know what's NORMAL to you people!" Caine tweaked out a bit and pulled out another letter from the box.
"Let's have one where we all work at a fast food place." Caine turned back to the group. "Is that normal?"

"Who wrote that?" Jax scoffed.
He gave you a quick side eye.

"Uh, yeah, that's pretty normal." Gangle shrugged.

"-Great! That means today's adventure is...AN HONEST HARD DAYS WORK AT SPUDSY'S RESTAURANT CHAIN" Caine proudly announced to the group. He pointed at Gangle. "And YOU can be the shift manger!"

"-You did not just make that today's adventure." Jax deadpanned.

"-that's right! You've shown enough leadership skills today to be the perfect manager!" Caine continued. "Of course. Of course! I'm already getting tons of ideas! Haha—" Caine stuck his tongue out his mouth which caused bubbled to retract back in its mouth. The leak started to...leak again, so Caine pushed his tongue back inside his mouth. Bubbles tongue came back out to close over the leak once more.

"That was weird."

"Well, see you guys when it's over." Zooble said, walking off.

"-Wh— Again?!"

"I'm not gonna be a wage slave for fun." Zooble reasoned.

Kinger gasped. "Oh! I know! I could sit this one out, and Zooble could take my place!"

"Wh— that's not how that works." They scoffed.

"-Great idea, Kinger! It'll be nice to have you back on board, Zooble." Caine agreed quickly, not leaving a chance for take backs.

"Wh— are you kidding me?! I'm not just gonna be forced into this stupid adventu—" Zooble pushed to argue but it was to no effect.

"You can shut up now!" Caine pressed a red button on a remote, opening the floor underneath Zooble. They screamed as they fell down the shaft.

Gangle watched as they descended and turned back to Caine. "-I think I might be able to give it a swing. Being a shift manager WAS my job at one point."

"Will there be hot uniforms?" You asked Caine.

"Uhh..."

Jax covered your mouth, rolling his eyes. "Down, dog."

"But-"

"No."

Caine cleared his throat. "Okay, everyone, get your nonslip shoes ready, 'cause we're going to spudy's!" He opened up a portal that lead to the adventure, gesturing everyone through.

Jax slipped on the water and fell on his face.

You looked down at him with a smirk.
"How's the air down there?"

"Shut up."
