"I thiiiiiiink...we should hold onto eachother and slowly make our way back into the trophy room." Kinger wisely suggested to you and Pomni.

"U-Uh, sounds fine to me." Pomni shakily agreed.

You hum in agreement, holding onto Pomni's shoulders for support. "Baby steps." You mutter, trying to feel your way through the darkness.

The trio began walking slowly, taking tiny steps so they wouldn't trip on anything. It was eerily quiet besides their footsteps and breathing. Pomni stopped suddenly as she heard a bit of shuffling in the space around them.

"What was that?" She whispered.

"What's what?" Kinger whispered back unknowingly.

You freeze, straining your ears to pick up any sound beyond their own movements. "Shhh...listen." You hiss quietly, trying not to alert whatever might be lurking nearby.

They all held their breaths, listening intently. After a moment, the shuffling noise came again, sounding closer this time.
"That!" Pomni whispered-yelled.

"That's probably just magnets. Or a boat." Kinger guessed.

"Magnets? ..on a boat?" You whisper in a questioning tone.

"No, magnets OR a boat." He corrected.

"Why would it be a boat?"

"W-Whatever the case, I think we should be completely quiet." Kinger advised without answering the question.

"I--Okay, yeah. I agree." Pomni said. "You know, you're really hit-and-miss with these things, sometimes."

"Maybe he's just creative?" You nudged her shoulder.

"Sure, let's say that."

Everything went quiet again. You all stood still, afraid to make any sudden movements.

The sound of a fly buzzing drew your attention away from the deafening silence around you. Kinger slapped his hands together trying to catch the fly.

The loud slapping startled both you and Pomni, making you jump slightly.

"There's a fly in here." Kinger continued to try and slap the fly between his hands.

"Don't you think that's making a lot of noi-oh, God, there is a fly." Pomni acknowledged.

"Great timing." You grimace. Just then, the fly buzzes loudly right next to your ear, making you jump once more. "Ahh!" You fail your arms wildly, trying to swat the annoying insect away.

Kinger appointed his hyper-focus on the fly. "Annnnddd....gotcha!" He finally slaps the fly and the buzzing noise stops.
"I think I got him. I can't see my hands."

The trio failed to noticed the big yellow eyes appearing behind them. The head that was mounted on the wall was suddenly behind them. Only it was ten times as big. It opened its large jaw and started screeching, revealing its rows of sharp teeth. It seemed to illuminate the room as its pale skin projected a bright white light. All went dark again once it stopped screaming.

"I'm sorry, could you speak up? I couldn't quite make that out." Kinger talked to it calmly as if it was a normal person.

"[boink!] the fly! Run!" Pomni grabbed your's and Kinger's hand, taking off in a sprint. Everything felt like slow motion as the creature continued to scream as it pursued you.

You spin around, eyes wide with terror as you take in the monstrous creature now looming behind you. You felt as if you might actually die from this, even if it wasn't real. That's how scared you were. All you could think about is how the last thing you and Jax did was fight. As the beast's bloodcurdling scream filled the air, you felt a sense of dread in the pit of your heart. What if that was the last time you would ever see Jax? No, no, no, no, no----

"Y/N!!" Kinger yelled at you, snapping you out of a mid-panic attack.

You shake your head to clear your thoughts. You had to remind yourself that you weren't alone and you had others to support you. You shouldn't be letting your anxiety slow them down.

As the monster's thunderous screams echoed off the walls, Pomni didn't dare look back. Her legs pumped furiously as she made it to the elevator door. She shakily tried to match the key up with the lock.
"-Come on come on come on come on come on!!"

"-Guys, I think this might be the creature from the tapes!" Kinger yelled as the glowing creature inched closer.

You slap a hand over your face and Pomni groans.
"Yeah, because nothing says 'normal' like a giant, screaming, tooth-filled monstrosity chasing us through a haunted house!" You bark out a laugh, the sound echoing into an eerie silence that follows the creature's fading screams.

Jax was clearly rubbing off on you a bit too much.

"Come on come on come on come on
come oooon!!" Pomni cried still trying to get the key into the lock. You snatched the key from her and took over.

Meanwhile Kinger was caught up staring into the creature's blindly glow. His eyes dilated into huge black circles; he stared dazily into the creature's wide open Jaw, drawing him in closer. "You look beautiful, honey..."

You snap the key into place and yank the elevator doors open. You and Pomni turn back, noticing Kinger in his hypnotized state. You both quickly rushed towards him, pulling him back from the edge of his collar. "Come on!!"

Kinger snapped of out it just when the creature was mere inches from his face. "Huh? Oh. Yeah."

You all sprint towards the elevator, climbing inside hurriedly. The small elevator became packed full as the three of you barely fit inside.

"Prepare for take-off, cause this boat is going UP!" Despite the declaration from Kinger, the elevator slowly started traveling down rather than up. "Huh??"

Your stomach drops as you realize the elevator is headed downwards. "What the actual [sprong!]"

Pomni clings to you, trembling violently.

Kinger pressed his back against the elevator wall, looking around frantically.

"That's not up! That's not up at all! Why aren't we going up?! UUUUUUUUUUPPPPPP!!"
