Link's POV:
After about an hour of maneuvering, tiny climbs, and getting lost about 2000 times, we finally arrived at Zelda's study. That's when a thought occurred to me. "Hey, when you asked about your diaries earlier, didn't you follow me throw the castle?" She immediately turned around to look at me. "When you were here, Ganon was acting up more than usual, so I couldn't really see your journey." She explained.Well that did make sense, still didn't explain how she was acting when the whole diary situation happened. It seemed like she was hiding something in another diary. Maybe I should read it... no! I couldn't do that, it would be an invasion of her privacy! I did it when I didn't know her, and now I did, so it would be impossible to do that to her.
She looked down and let out a loud gasp. "Ho-how is this here?" She was obviously mesmerized by the resilient flower. I honestly never thought about how this flower could grow here. It somehow survived a calamity, for who knows how long. Then there was how it had grown, but where had the seed come from? Zelda certainly didn't have any seeds in her study to my knowledge.
Come to think of it, it would make a really good gift. So, I walked over and plucked it. I turned around and gave it to an obviously shocked Zelda. "Link!" She said. "What?" I asked. She seemed so angry, but why? Did she not like the present? She really was a mystery...
"Why would you pluck it?!" She said, carefully cradling the flower, before looking up and glaring at me. "Because I thought it would make a good present!" I raised my hands in defense. Now I realized why she seemed so angry and shocked, it was because she thought they were still rare.
"Is it not a good present?" I asked. "No... it's a good present, but I- I just, I really don't know..." she said defeated. "I mean, I do have like 400 more stored in the Shekiah Slate, so they really are abundant and not endangered anymore!" I tried to cheer her up, but I'm not sure it did anything. She looked at me with an indescribable look on her face.
"How many did you say again?" She said very slowly, like she was solving a murder case, and she just found a huge breakthrough. "400?" I said questioningly. "You picked four hundred Silent Princesses?!" I bet a hundred rupees her glare could kill an army. I nodded.
"I will choke you to death." She said. She had said it in such a way that she didn't sound angry, but she also sounded angrier than anyone in the history of man. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the angriest someone was. Of course, I was acting as if I was completely calm, when I was really trying not to pee my pants.
She really was terrifying.
She turned around and stopped. I had covered her eyes when we walked past her room, much to her dismay and protest. "Y-you wouldn't choke me with your bare hands!" I said, deep in denial by this point. "I suppose you're right..." she said. She trailed off like she was going to continue. She turned and smiled at like a serial killer.
"I'd tie the Silent Princesses together and choke you with them!" She giggled uncontrollably. Her giggles turned into maniacal bouts of laughter. "If you keep this up I'll... I'll teleport away and strand you here!" I held up the Shekiah Slate to appear more serious.
"Link, if you strand me here, you'd best be counting your days." She said this in a maniacal, and sickly sweet tone. "What do y-you m-mean?" I inhaled a shaky breath. What was she planning? "I mean, I'd hunt you down and drown you in the moat!" She said this with a smile. This was 10x as scary as my first guardian encounter.
