Link's POV:
We were still in the castle come noon. We had been in there for about three entire hours. And we weren't even done yet! We still hadn't looked at a few rooms like the Sanctum, the Dining Room, and the Observatory room. I didn't feel like going under the Sanctum, so that wasn't on the list.Zelda stood there a while in the corner. When I walked over, she still didn't move. This was worrying, as Zelda was almost always doing something. Whether it be fidgeting with her hands, fiddling with her hair, or just talking aloud about something. She was almost always doing something.
And yet now she wasn't. She was standing there, palms open, doing nothing. Naturally my brain was screaming and setting off hundreds of alarms, so many at one point you must question the practicality of having so many. Then again, it's about Zelda so I actually might need more.
Honestly it was funny in an estranged, weird, taboo way.
"Zelda? Zeldaaa?" I said, waving my hand in front of her face. What if I tried...
I pinched her nose and held it for a few seconds. Zelda gasped and turned around. I had been laughing so much so that I almost didn't see her fist flying towards my face. Luckily, I did and moved out of the way.
The fist that almost hit me recoiled instantly and immediately went to her chest. "Hylia, you startled me!" Zelda said. Her expression was hilariously adorable. "Was that almost face punch intentional?" I asked, still laughing. "It wasn't intentional, but now I'm thinking it was!" She said grumpily.
"What were you thinking about anyway that made you so far from reality?" I asked curiously. Red instantly seeped into her face, and she restarted her fidgeting. "I- um, well- y-yo-you know, ab-about Impa and stuff!" She said. That was a very long stutter, and probably the most unintelligible.
She was starting to sound like Paya in all honesty. That made me think about Paya. I honestly don't know why she was always so nervous around me. I thought about reading her journal, but didn't. I mean, every time I thought about it she was there, so I never did.
The night I stayed over she seemed especially nervous, but that was probably just because of the whole orb incident. I had to admit it was quite nerve wracking even for me. That brought me to another point, about the Yiga Clan. How was I to keep Zelda safe from them?
They were silly and unserious, but they were ask hardened warriors and I don't know if I can handle too many all at once. We would have to be careful with her identity. Perhaps get her a hood, or, as a last resort, dye her hair. Her beautiful, blonde hair.
I wasn't exactly ecstatic about that option. Of course, the Shekiah were also powerful warriors. Or I suppose, they were. Most of the tribe aren't exactly fit for battle. Many are too young, and I don't wish to bring them into war. Maybe we could get some Hylians to help bring down the Clan.
Dorian had much experience. Perhaps he and Impa together could teach a group of warriors, or possibly even Paya! They were many routes we could take, all them not being exactly safe. But if we pulled it off, the rest of Hyrule would be a lot safer.
I really just wanted as many people out of the crossfire as possible. Of course, we soon would have to make our journey to Kakariko Village. We could teleport, but I really didn't like that idea. It was risky attempting two person teleport. What if the Slate malfunctioned and Zelda got hurt or worse?
