Chapter 48 Enzo

Some days are different and you could feel it. I woke up and did my usual routine of working out in the gym, completing my lapse in the pool, but I could feel something is different today.

I ate breakfast and left for work. Work was usual for a few hours until it was not. Arkadi's business was going bankrupt. I got the news from a friend before it could hit the market.

It was not an overnight miracle. It was something I have been working on for years. I hit him everywhere, from every possible angle. I attacked his every business making them go in loss. It was like falling dominos one after loss after the other. It was all part of a bigger plan.

His one company got in loss, then his other, then another, slowly slowly his entire empire was going bankrupt.

Well he is not broke but the legal aspects of his work which is on paper is definitely not in good shape. It exposes him and puts him under the scrutiny of the FBI and when he comes under radar it automatically affects illegal aspects of his business.

At this time, having money makes the situation even worse and he has a lot of it. Well, the underworld pays you well that's all I can say.

I worked on it for years. I live away from the woman, the only one that matters. The only one I would kill or die for without even giving a thought.

It scraped my soul every time I had to leave her. I had to hide her, I had to hide us but when all I wanted to do was tell the entire world that she belonged to me.

In this dark dark world of sins and monsters. I am a monster too, the most brutal of them, the most ruthless. I was walking the dark roads without even caring.

Then she came in it. Like sun comes to dark and takeaway all the darkness.
She lit up my whole world. She walked in it without even realising the effect she is having on me.

I was attracted to her the moment I saw her, like a devil is attracted to an angel, like bad is attracted to good, like darkness seeks for sunlight. I thought it was a intense crush on her beauty that would be over with time. But it got worse, the more I had her the more I want her.

When she left me I chased her like a lost puppy. It was like my world got dark again like I lost the sun. The only source of light I had in the dark world.

But when I had her again the circumstances took her away from me. But now I will have her and no one would be able to stop me from having her.

She will meet mine for now and for forever and now nothing will come between us. I have waited for this day for year. I have worked for us for this for year.

When I got the news. I stopped my work and headed out to my McLaren. It was late sun is setting. Sky in shades of orange, purple and red. I drove my car as I reach my destination the st had set completely and sky turned dark.

This time I didn't parked my car away from the house. I headed straight for the main entrance.

Gaurds didn't opened the door as expected. They called someone to take permission for my entry and then opened the door.

I drove towards the main door of the palace. After leaving my car I headed inside the palace. Only to find some security gaurds waiting for me in the entrance, trying to stop me.
I almost laughed at them.

Lucky for them I am in no mood of violence today.
"I am just here to talk to your boss. He clearly know I am in here so stop your petty attempts and get out of my way.
I am sure you had heard about my skills, do you really want to see them?"
I said in bored and disinterested tone.

Few of them took a step back. I smirked and kept walking towards the hall. One of them came in front of me to stop me. "The boss is having dinner with his family now", he said with a thick Russian accent.
"Good! I am hungry too I will join them".

He didn't move I glared down at him as he was shorter than me. I could sense fear in his eyes. I gave him a cold smile and punched his face. He left his conscience and fall on the floor. Than made other men step away as well. And I walked inside the house.

When I entered the dinning hall, I saw Barbara, Lily, Liam and Arkadi having dinner. Everybody's eyes fall on me and they stopped midway.

Barbara eyes wide with shock.
Lily and Liam eyes filled with confusion to see me after so long. They had grown a lot.
Arkadi eyes filled with anger.

I walked and took a seat right next to Arkadi, sitting in front of shocked Barbara. Her lips parted in shock which are tempting me to claim them. But not now. I soon will claim her entirely and would kiss her as much as I want.

I turned the plate upside down and started filling the food in my plate.
I took a bite of the delicious food.
"No offense but Italian food is much better than Russian food".

That pissed him off.
Arkadi gritted his teeth.
"I don't remember inviting you to dinner Russo".
"Because you didn't Arkadi, I invited myself".
"Leave".
"Come on is it how you treat your future son in law. You Russians lack serious manners".

It definitely hit his nerve. He took his gun out and unlocked it's safety and pointed at my head.
Barbara hands shot up covering her mouth.
Kids gasped.
