Chapter 41 Barbara

It is my birthday today. I am turning 20 today. I am so excited and happy. I woke up with Lily and Liam attacking me in my bed with a cake and singing happy birthday to me as I blew the candles and cut the cake.

As I went for breakfast Arkadi too had a gift for me. He got me this really beautiful necklace. I thanked him. He organised this grand party for me tonight in the palace. He likes to take me to his parties and tries to organise as much as possible.
It's like he is proclaiming that I have a daughter to marry.

In college Susie brought this cute friendship bracelet for me, which was handmade by her. I hugged her so tight and thanked her.
She is like a friend that I didn't even know I wanted so bad unless I got her. She asked me that we should party, maybe go for clubbing and something. I told her I am having this small family dinner and I can't.
Sometimes she might feel a little suspicious, I always find excuses for her plans.

Today I specially wanted to meet Enzo for my birthday. It would be my first birthday I would celebrate our share with him. For my nineteen I was in Poland away from him. But for my twenty I am here with him in a fu*krd way but we are together.

As I finished college and ran towards parking lot. He didn't came. I walked all the way to parking lot back and forth but he was not there. I even checked time it was our usual timewhich we meet at. But he didn't came today. Maybe he didn't know it's my birthday. I waited for him for couple of minutes but other students started to come and I left with my driver.

My eyes got teary in the backseat of the car and I started shedding silent tears.
I know he hadn't forgiven me for how I left him in the hospital. I know he hates me. But I hoped he would somehow know it was my birthday and come to meet me atleast. I really want to spend a good time with him as much I got before getting married to a Russian mafia.

I wiped my tears as I reached to the palace. Everybody was preparing for the party. I could smell flowers which are put everywhere. Without paying them attention. I walked towards my room and took a nap. I thought about calling Enzo but I didn't have his number in this new phone that Arkadi gave me.
I should have asked for his number but I didn't want to call him or text him. I kind of feel Arkadi might be tapping it and would know, which I can't risk.

I woke up with a knock on my door. The maid told me to get ready. She came with entourage of helpers to get me ready for the party. There were buck of dresses to choose from. Lily got so happy to see them. Her enthusiasm made me smile too. She chooses a dress for me and I decided to wear it. I don't care about this party, I don't even know the people coming and have no intentions of knowing them. Liam was playing on his phone with no interest in dress-up.

I got ready with help of helpers doing my hair and makeup. I am wearing a black dress and diamond necklace that Arkadi gifted me in the morning. Lily and Liam got ready too. Lily in a princess dress and Liam is wearing a suit.

We headed for the party.

Party was great, good food, piano playing in the background, though it didn't look like party for someone's twentieth birthday, it definitely had vibes for someone fifty birthday.

I spotted Arkadi talking to someone. I couldn't care less. I just headed for a corner where no one could spot me. I took an champagne glass and asked for some juice for Lily and Liam. We also took some appetizers and took a spot in the corner of the hall. We were eating and talking and suddenly Arkadi came and tapped on my shoulder.

"Barbara I want you to meet Nikolai Volkov".
I looked at the tall tanned man with grey eyes. His face was chiseled and sharp.
He smiled at me and offered his hand to shake and wished me birthday. I reciprocate the smile and shook his hand. He said hello to Lily and Liam and shook their hands also.

We talked for quite sometime. He was son of counsel of Arkadi.He told me about his life and asked me about mine.
Then he asked me "can I have a dance with the birthday girl" offering his hand. I smiled at the gesture but danced with him. Everybody started looking at us swaying to the music. I got concious, I really don't enjoy being centre of attention.
Nikolai must have picked my sudden nervousness and told me "hey! they just can't help it, they will stare you, you are the most beautiful girl ever".
I rolled my eyes in response but smiled. He did helped in calming my nerves down.

I talked more with Nikolai he was actually smart and funny and I liked how he is taking care of his company, his dream and also helps his dad in his work.

As party got over. I was so tired I headed straight for my bedroom.
As I entered the room I quickly removed my heavy gown and took a shower and slipped into my comfortable bunny payjamas.

When I came out and checked my phone, there were a couple of messages from an unknown number.

Unknown number : did you enjoy your birthday dance?
Unknown number : I didn't.
Unknown number : looks like you are taking my warnings lightly.
Unknown number : I will punish you.

Enzo was at the party! But I didn't saw him, how could I miss him ? I talked to almost everybody.

Another message popped on my phone.
Unknown number: I am coming for you.

When where, I opened my room door to looked outside but hall was empty. I opened my balcony door to check him there. I was scanning outside suddenly a hand came on my shoulder from behind, I was about to shout but other hand came on my mouth.

"Shhh Barbara" I stopped screaming or moving my arms and legs to free me,once I heard the familiar sound.
He removed his hand from my mouth. I turned around to see him.
"How did you get here?" I asked in shock.

"You didn't reply to my texts" he said, his calm voice brought a shiver through my body.
I didn't said anything and moved inside my bedroom, he followed me.
"Remove your shorts and get on all fours on the bed".
I obliged, the cool breeze from the balcony made goosebumps to errupt on my legs.
He didn't move for quite a minute and I turned around to see him.

He was staring at my but and my underwear, I opened my mouth to say "what ar...." suddenly he ripped my underwear and spanked my ass.
I whimpered in response. Enzo never spanked me like this before.
