Chapter 36 Enzo

When Barbara woke up again she specifically asked for Arkadi only, as mentioned by the nurse. I was a little pissed off by it. I wanted to be the person she sees or asks for when she wakes up. But with the father daughter story, I can understand her actions, but still I was mad.

I waited for my turn. I was patient for her to finish her conversation with Arkadi and then meet me, although I am not a patient man. But for her I have always been patient.

After their hours long conversation, okay it was just around thirty minutes, but I was getting impatient to see her, Arkadi came out. He looked at me and smirked, that annoying bastard I will kill him one day.

Then the nurse told us she needs to rest. I was furious, he talked to her for so long and I don't even get to see her, ask her

how was she. Patience Enzo patience, she is not fully recovered, she needs some time. Her world has been rocked in the last couple of hours. She was shot, her real father killed her fake father, that's a lot to process for her.

I told my men to go back to their place and decide to rest in the hospital. Dante told me to see a doctor for my injuries but I told him I was okay. But that stubborn fuc*er won't leave me alone so I saw a doctor. He strapped my arm and shoulder and chest, well let's say half of my upper body in plaster and gave me various injections. He told me to lie down for rest but I refused I wanted to be right beside Barbara when she woke up. Dante gets to push me only this much.

After getting dressed only in a shirt. When I woke up from bed I almost got a black out and fell back to bed. The doctor told me I need to lie down and rest. I did for a few hours, she won't be up this late then I rush towards her ward which was not far away from mine. I need to be there when she wakes up.

I sat across her door and waited for her for the whole night.

The next morning Arkadi came with his men. In New suit. I hate him, just a look at him makes me so furious. Then he went straight inside to Barbara. How does he get to go there.

After a couple of minutes he comes out with his disgusting arm wrapped around her shoulders. I will kill him later first I will chop that disgusting arm of his. He of all doesn't get to touch her. I might be a monster he is a devil, he has no regard for women and children, he has no honour.

I looked at her but she didn't look back at me. She didn't even spare a glance in my direction. How could she be so cold towards me, she don't get to say I love you to me and then ignore me like I didn't even exist.

I watched her slowly walk away without turning around to me. She left I stared at the empty spot where her forms last existed for quite some time. I saw her walk away from me, from my life.

She had chosen Arkadi over me. It was evident from her actions.

I have never been rejected by a woman. It hurts like a b*tch.

What does she think that she will walk away from my life and act like I am nothing to her and be this ice queen.

Dante placed a hand over my shoulder "it will be okay mate, give her sometime" he said.

I smirked. She thinks she is some ice queen, I will show her who is the real ice king.

She had seen my love, my care, my softness. Now she will get to see my hatred, my wrath.

She will meet the Enzo monster Russo whom everybody is scared of and bow down to.

I laughed in the middle of the hospital. Bring all your weapons sweetheart because the game is on and I never lose.
