Fall of Nigrat

(A/N: Map by the end of July 1648 (1949))

LIberated Nigrat, Papaldian 130th Division, February 17th 1648

Papaldian Soldiers lazed around the Nigratian Countryside, it had been a hard 5 months, They had been constantly on the move. Fighting the Kainish and Nigratians everywhere in harsh fighting as the Kainish took direct control over Nigrat.

750 000 against 500 000, It was not easy. But the Italians in the south did the most of the work in liberating the Country. In Fact, the fighting was mostly in the south.

As the Kainish were forced back, they took to killing every single person they found in the key points in Nigrat, to make life as terrible as possible. Over 1.8 Million were killed in such a way, including the 200 000 Soldiers killed.

But now the Papaldians and Italians began to see something terrible, the soldiers which remained in the south, began to look young. 

Way too young.

It was not until Weeks in the campaign that they saw reality. Child Soldiers, no older than 12 most of the time, were turned into cannon fodder by making them run into the allied lines to make them waste bullets.

Thousands of these child soldiers died this way, those who did not fire found they were willing to die regardless.

Many allied soldiers took to the bottle or suicide to avoid the guilt of what they had to do. But since Suicide was a sin, 'Mock' Executions were common.

Soldiers who wanted to end it all, would forge documents that they needed to be shot, leading to suicide by others.

Not a single soldier of the allies found the courage to admit that fighting kids made them victors, it made them killers.

But now Nigrat had fallen, most of Northern Magicarreich as well had fallen, Only 600 000 Kainish and 1 Million Magicarreich soldiers remained, trapped, isolated.

Now that Nigrat was freed, the hand of Justice, Italian and Papaldian soldiers, began arresting everyone which had been charged guilty of crimes against humanity as set by the charter of Humanity in 1645.

In 1645, The Charter of Humanity, which made that everyone had a right to Food, Water, Fair Wages and Basic Rights, was signed by over 119 Countries of 400 Countries in the world. The next Year in Rome, the Roman Charter Add A New clause.

That Every one, regardless of wealth, race or otherwise, had the right to be free and decide their own destiny, it was a improvement in human rights around the world. 

This however, led to a forced vote in Italy's Vassals and Colonies on their future under Italy, all ending with 60-90% voting in favor of staying with Italy. Most out of respect, some out of fear.

But, since most of the Government of Nigrat had violated said laws, They were quickly found, charged and sent to either jail or God.

One such Soldier to find the criminals was Father Gregory, a Catholic Priest from Lauria, who Arrested more than 44 Senators from Nigrat. Where he converted many to Catholicism before they were hanged.

In the aftermath of everything, Nigrat became a Muish Puppet state as the Democratic Republic of Nigrat, A nationalist government would be 'elected' in 1653.

With the fall of Nigrat, many units and soldiers of the allies took to a vacation after years of war. Many flirted with the Women they found from Nigrat. Entire units vanished for days, celebrating the defeat of Nigrat.
