"my gods," jon said and selma did a spin. "you shine so brightly I can't even look at you straight on." He decided kissing her. "You are strikingly gorgeous."

"You know how to make a girls day." Her lips pressed to his.

"What is the occasion for such a dress?" Jon asked running his hands down her waist before twisting her hips in his hands.

"We are heading home. King and his woman. I had to look the part."

"King and his woman." Jon repeated. "The kings woman is usually the queen."

"Well if you insist!" Selma declared wrapping her arms around his neck. "I will gladly be your queen."

"We're leaving today. The king's got a lot on his mind." Davos remarked staring gendry the new recruit down.

" I understand." Gendry agreed.

"He doesn't need to be thinking about harboring the bastard of a dead king." Davos added.

"You don't have to worry." Gendry agreed.

"You're just Clovis, a smith who's come to pay his respects before he heads off to work at the Winterfell forges." Davos demanded.

"Understood." Gendry grumbled as they got to the mouth of the cave.  Gendry froze seeing the most beautiful woman in the world. Selma laughed as jon dipped her before pulling her back chest to chest.

"Begging your pardon, Your Grace." Davos remarked Jon turned towards them as selma righted herself. She kept an arm around jon and gendry cleared his throat. Dont fall for the kings woman. That was probably rule number one.

" You survived King's Landing." Jon remarked moving to davos.

" Yet again." Davos agreed.

"Your Grace, this is --" Davos began but Gendry stepped forward.

"It's Gendry, Your Grace. I'm Robert Baratheon's son. Bastard son." Gendry declared and Davos gaped back at him.

"Im sure robert had many." Selma let slip but she could see the strong jaw and the dark eyes of what she assumed was once robert within the man before her.

" He was meant to keep that to himself." Davos hissed.

"Our fathers trusted each other. Why shouldn't we?" Gendry countered.

"This is my lady Selma Stark." Jon introduced. She gave a little wave from jons side. My lady. Hells yes she was. "I saw your father once at Winterfell." Jon recalled distantly. He didnt speak to the king but his presence was large in winterfell.

"I didnt like you father." Selma added. "He always stared at my chest."

"I met yours in my shop." Gendry recalled giving selma a pitiful smile.

"You're a lot leaner." Jon mused.

"You're a lot shorter." Gendry agreed. Jon's smile fell before he chuckled.

"Jon is the perfect height." Selma assured, to be kissed.

" I grew up on stories about them." Jon remarked stroking a hand along selmas side.

"All I ever knew was they fought together and won. Ser Davos told me where you're going, Your Grace, and why. Let me come with you." Gendry instructed.

"Don't be a fool. You're not a soldier." Davos corrected.

"No, but I'm a fighter. And he won't be needing a smith with a sword like that."

" Do you know how to use one?" Jon questioned. Gendry shook his head. "Well, that's a problem." Jon countered.

"I prefer a hammer." Gendry altered.

"He can handle himself." Davos assured.

"We could use the help." Jon agreed.

"Lord knows im little help with a sword but im great with this hacking at glass stuff." Selma added

" As my father used to say, it's better to be a coward for a minute than dead for the rest of your life." Davos recalled.

"I owe you my life. Twice over. But if what you said is true about what's out there, I can't wait out this war." Gendry told Davos.

"Yeah. Nobody mind me. All I've ever done is live to a ripe old age."

"Which is a rarity." Selma agreed. "Good on you, old man." Davos turned to her. "Alright lets boogie! Night king waits for no one!"
