Selma woke with jon to see him off with a kiss before going back to bed. She hadnt gotten much sleep the night before. From confronting sandor to kissing jon.

Shadow and ghost curled up with selma, she almost thought jon was back when she felt ghosts hot breath on her face. She reached out stroking his fur and laughed for ever having thought ghost was human.

She poked at her food or she paced while the wolves ran the courtyard. Edd watched her as he told jon he would. Make sure none of the men gave her shit. Luckily the wolves helped with keeping eager men away from the most beautiful woman within and out of their walls.

It seemed like forever when someone was spotted outside the walls. Edd called out. Selma thought it was jon. Prayed it was jon. She begged for jon to come back in one piece.

It wasnt jon. But selma greeted him at the snowy gates alongside edd.

Gendry was chattering and non legible when edd helped him in.

"Is jon okay? Where is Jon! Gendry speak!" Selma demanded as he defrosted before her.

"What's going on?" Davos asked coming up behind her as gendry dropped to his knees.

"I don't know. I literally don't know. Don't ask me anything." Selma corrected. "Ask him!"

They had found a walker. They were in trouble. Jon was in trouble.

Daenerys targaryen and her dragons were their only hope.

Well thats just fucking great.

"Whats that my lady?" Edd asked. Selma clamped her lips shut. Had she said that out loud?

"Nothing." She squeaked back.

Jon had to come back. If she thought she was nervous before it was nothing compared to what she was feeling right now.

Her heart might explode. She had to prepare herself for the fact that jon might not come back. That they would lose. They all might die.

Edd could tell selma was spiraling so he referred to jons -in case selma looks like she might explode list. Edd put winter berries before selma and she started to cry.

"Oh shit. Jon said-"

"Jon?" Selma whimpered shoving a few into her mouth.

"He said if you looked like you do to track down some winter berries... they would cheer you up for a moment." Edd agreed. "Was he wrong?"

"No." She sobbed out.

"Im so confused." Edd whispered

"Its not winter berries..." she sniffled "jon was always stuck outside for banquets and there was a winter berry bush outside. So i always went to grab some as an excuse to see jon."

"It wasnt the berries. It was him that cheered you up." Edd realized. She nodded.

Selma had thought she was prepared for the inevitability of this moment. Of jon not coming back that something awful went wrong that maybe she wouldnt see him again but she knew she would and she was worried for nothing. She was so wrong. Breathe, she told herself—not to calm down, but to push oxygen into her lungs before she passed out.

"Where is Jon!" She sobbed out past her choked breath. "Where is Jon!"
