Evara was on his bed looking around the king size bed. She looked over on his nightstand picking up a little golden frame. It was of him and a black dog, the dog had a teal collar around its neck and a bone tag hanging from the collar.

She looked over at him as he took another drag of the cigarette looking down at his phone.

"Hey, you have a dog?" She asked

"Yea.." he replied glancing over at her.

"Do you like them?" He asked

"...i mean they're cool yea, if they're not aggressive" she replied

"Do you wanna meet him?" He asked with a slight smile on his face as he placed his phone down.

"I mean yea, you don't think you could've told me sooner?" She asked moving out of his bed.

"I mean you didn't mention liking animials or anything so I just put him in the basement." He revealed.

"The basement?" She gasped

"No-Please he really wouldn't bother me.." she replied with a friendly gesture.

He nodded and instantly got up.
She watched as he left the room, she grabbed eyes tugged onto his phone but she left it alone knowing that if he wanted someone else she wouldn't be here right now.

Soon a big black golden retriever came bouncing off the stairs and into the room.
The loud bark echoed through the room as Callum followed behind him.
She didn't say anything but have her mouth open due to how big it was along with how loud. It had a precious face, and quietly sat down infront of her closing its mouth tilting its head.

Evara took a deep breath, smiling at the big retriever as he sat in front of her, looking at her with a curious expression. She knelt down slowly, holding out her hand for the dog to sniff, just as she'd seen people do with dogs before.

"Hey, big guy," she said softly, glancing up at Callum. "What's his name?"

"That's Ben," Callum replied, watching with an amused smile. "He's friendly—don't worry."

Ben leaned forward, giving Evara's hand a gentle sniff before licking it with a warm, wet tongue. Evara laughed, a bit surprised by the ticklish feeling.

"Guess he likes you," Callum chuckled.

Emboldened, Evara ran her hand over Ben's  soft fur, feeling him relax under her touch. She couldn't help but smile at his friendly energy and gentle eyes.

"He's sweet," she murmured, scratching behind Lucky's ears. "I wouldn't have guessed you'd keep him in the basement."

Callum shrugged, rubbing the back of his neck. "Didn't know if you were a dog person. Guess I know now." She smiled up at him as he enjoyed watching the look on her face. Her smile was slowly getting him more and more intrigued.
