Sometime had flown by, and Evaras's mother was now standing across from her. Evara helped her with her bags, pulling them out of one of Callum's fancy cars. Her mother seemed quite gloomy instead of astonished by her daughter's surroundings.

"He's inside, he's been trying to clean every speck of the house for you," she smiled.

Her mother flashed her a fake smile.

Evara noticed but didn't say a word. They both finally got her mother's belongings into the main hall. Where expensive coats were hung and shoes were outside. She smiled at her mom one more time as she sighed, relieved from the drowsy silence and walked.

"Are you alright, Mum?" she asked in a whisper tone.

Her mother looked over at her in despair. Evara had figured it could maybe be some lingering gloom or bad news from a family member.

"Evs.." she sighed.

But before she could finish explaining herself, Callum announced himself and walked into the main hall.

"Hey," he said with some excitement in his tone. He sounded relieved.

"Oh..well- Mum, this is Callum," Evaras smiled, going beside him, allowing him to introduce himself to her. He gave her mother a smile and immediately offered to assist her with her bags.

Evaras's mother's face changed once she saw him in person. She didn't know either to be shocked or to feel ashamed. Evara picked up on this yet left it cast into the shadows as of now.
While he moved her things into the spare bedroom upstairs, Evaras's mother looked around the house like it was a museum. Keeping her hands in her elbows as she crossed her arms. She sighed once again, with a look of gloom.

"Mum..please, this look on your face is eating me alive.. what is it?" she questioned.

Her mother sighed and lowered her voice.

"Maybe we should discuss it during a different time.." she sighed. Evara nodded.

"I don't want to worry him then, if it's not tremendously important. Please cheer up," she said softly.

She went into hug her mother again, missing the nurture she carried.
Evara slightly squeezed her, hoping to soak up some of her warmth. Hoping that when times got rough again she had this moment to look back on.

"Evara, I must tell you..I disapprove of this life you've given yourself" she says in discernment.

Evaras smile faded, she pulled away to look at her mother's face. Testing her waters, if she were telling the bare truth, which she was.

"What is wrong?" She questions

"Evara..this man is severely older than you. You're staying here in this house that's the size of a library. What have you done for him?" She asks
