Evara watched him eat beside her like he didn't just extract every piece of energy out of her slowly. The way he just scrolled through his phone as if 10 minutes ago they weren't raw dogging one another.

She hated how silent he was after, how de attached he was. She could still feel herself throbbing below in her sleep gown. She still felt the heat and action between her legs. She zoned out not knowing how to break the silence this time. He looked more drained than before he had even woke up. He turned over at her, slightly presenting his casual smirk.

"You..like what you see or-" he questioned

"What-" she cut him off not knowing what she wanted to say to him herself.

"How-"

"Are you like.." she sighed not knowing how to ask if he's usually like this. He put his phone down face flat looking at her.
She randomly got nervous and then just got up.

"Evs.." he spoke grabbing arm softly she turned around cluelessly.

"What is it?" He asked

"I..I'm just- I'm gonna walk Ben-" she stumbled over her words not making eye contact with him.

"Evs come on" he sighed.

She sighed and rolled her eyes sitting back down near him attempting to look at him in his eyes, but everytime she did she just couldn't stop thinking of the way he gazes at her every single time they're intimate.

She let his hand rest on her knee for a moment longer before slowly pulling away not harsh, just enough to create space. Enough for her to breathe.

"Can I ask you something?" she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

He looked at her, then nodded. "Yeah."

She hesitated. Her throat tightened. Her chest felt hot with the kind of ache that came from pretending something didn't hurt for too long.

"Do you think you're... addicted to being with me?" she asked, eyes locked on the floor.

He tilted his head slightly. "What?"

"Like... addicted to the sex. The heat. The rush. The way I respond to you." She swallowed hard. "Because sometimes it feels like that's all it is. Like you use it to get close, but then when it's over, you shut off. Like I served my purpose or something."

She went on before he could speak, her words shaky but firm.

"I miss when we'd wake up and just talk. About anything. About what to eat, what plans we had, or some dumb dream you had the night before. Now it's like... it happens and then you vanish emotionally. You scroll through your phone or leave the room or just... go quiet. And I'm stuck there wondering if I imagined all of it. The closeness. The warmth."
