Madi's POV

We walk up to the front door sitting wide open and walk into the house. We squish past everyone to get to the drinks table and immediately start passing around shots.

"Lets play a game!" Someone shouts after a few rounds. I think he's on the hockey team with Blake, his name is Liam or something. Everyone circles around in the living room and Liam puts a bottle in the middle, "Okay, we're playing a version of truth or dare, just mixing it with spin the bottle."

"I'll go first." A girl slurs from beside him, someone from the cheer team. She spins the bottle and it lands on Jake, "Truth or dare?"

"Truth."

"Okay, let's start off easy. Have you ever had a crush on anyone in the room?"

He blushes and glances towards Tabs, "Yeah."

She smiles at his answer, "Who?"

"That wasn't apart of the question."

"Okay, fair enough. Your turn."

He spins the bottle and it ends pointing towards Blake, sitting beside me, "Truth or Dare."

"Dare." He smirks and leans back on the couch.

"I dare you to take a belly shot off of Madi." There are a couple whistles that come out of his dare. Blake turns and smirks at me before leading me over to the kitchen and onto the counter. As I lay down my top comes up and reveals my belly button.

Someone pours some salt onto my collar bone, and I take a lime wedge between my teeth. Finally, they pour tequila into my belly button and Blake immediately sucks it out, licks the salt off, and bites the lime in my mouth. I'm pretty sure a few people were recording it so we may end up seeing it in a few different group chats in the morning. We all make our way back to the circle and I sit back down next to Blake.

Blake spins the bottle and it lands on Lexi, she says dare and I stop Blake before he gives her a dare. I whisper in his ear, telling him what he should say. I smiles before giving her her dare, "I dare you to spend seven minutes in heaven with Daniel."

She blushes but gets up with him and they walk over to a cleared out closet just down the hall. We spend the next seven minutes just talking until they get back. A few more rounds go by before the bottle lands on me, Liam having spun it, "Madi. Truth or dare."

"Truth."

"Do you like Blake?"

"Can I switch to dare?"

"Nope. Just answer the question." He smiles between me and Blake.

I'm not sure but it just slips out, "Yeah."

"Damn it." He sighs before pulling out his wallet and looking up at Blake, "I guess I owe you twenty bucks, then."

My stomach drops and my smile faulters as I look up at Blake while he's shifting uncomfortably, "What?"

I get up and start walking away from him. He gets up trying to chase after me. He finally catches up, grabbing my wrist and spinning me towards him, "Madi stop."

"What was that?"

"It was nothing."

"That wasn't nothing."

"Nothing important."

"I'm leaving."

"Madi, please. It was just some stupid joke."

"Right. That's all this was. Some stupid joke so you could get twenty dollars." I scoff, turning back around.

"No. I didn't say that. I made that bet when I was drunk and I didn't know you."

"Was this all I was to you? Some bet? Just some fucking game. Did my feelings even matter to you? Did you ever actually like me? I liked you. Although, I guess you knew that. I mean, you are twenty bucks richer because of that."

"It's not like that. I like you, Madi. Really like you. You don't deserve to be treated like that."

"I know that. Just leave me be. This never should've happened. I let you in, and you broke my heart. I don't know why I was expecting anything different."

"At least let me give you a ride home."

"I'm fine."
