GREEK TRAGEDY
::  xxiv. | say it, just say it

Two weeks into senior year and Ashely was still in a coma, Chad and Peyton were acting as friends even though they're more than that, Brooke and Ryland hadn't said anything to each other since that night. However, Brooke didn't know it, but not saying anything was hurting Ryland.

Ryland was sat in the courtyard at the many tables, doing her homework while everyone else chatted and ate lunch. She was too wrapped up in what she was focused on that she didn't realize Johnny sitting in front of her, trying to get her attention.

"Hey." Johnny grabbed her hand as another way to get her attention.

Ryland finally looked up from her work at Johnny, "Yes?"

He began to twiddle with her fingers, "You free to come over tonight?"

Ryland glanced behind her for a moment, looking towards Brooke who was already watching her and Johnny. They connected eyes for a moment before Ryland looked back to Johnny.

"Um, yeah. What time were you thinking?"

Before Johnny could continue, a friend of his appeared in front them.

"Hey." He looked to Johnny, "Party tonight, you in?"

Johnny's eyes shifted towards Ryland's from his friend's, "Only if she's in."

Ryland shrugged, "Sure."

The friend walked away with a smile, leaving the two alone once again. Johnny got up and leaned over the table, placing a kiss to Ryland's forehead. The blonde's smile was small and soon Johnny was off.

And just as fast as Johnny took off, Chad came taking his spot. He sat across from Ryland, laying his head over his arms that were crossed on the table.

"I have the worst love life."

Ryland's eyes stayed glued to her work, "Debatable."

Chad rose his head, "Really? Let's start off with Anna. She's a lesbian an ————— "

"You broke up with her." Ryland interrupted.

"Cause I didn't want to string her along and then there's peyton. When we're alone, she's all over me and with other people around, it's a different story."

"It seems like you're sure of yourself, which isn't a bad thing. However, Anna and peyton are figuring themselves out." Ryland continued, "I mean, it's not easy getting over your first love ————— Lucas for Peyton, Peyton for Lucas."
