The Tragedy of True Love {A Mihawk Bittersweet Story}

Chapter 4

3rd POV:
After paying for their meals, they walked out of the restaurant with their supplies. "Aww, these villagers sure are the sweetest people I've ever met!" [Y/N] said, smiling while carrying some bags in her arms.

Mihawk nods with a bit of hesitate before continuing on with shopping to get a bit last minute supplies. Even after the dance, the villagers kept on staring at them, but they ignored then to continued on with their shopping.

Once they were done with shopping, they start heading back to the ship when they hear clapping from the villagers.

They both turned around to see everyone clapping their hands with happy faces. [Y/N] looks confused as to why they are clapping out of nowhere at nothing with their backs turned while Mihawk keeps his guard up.

"W-what. What's going on?" [Y/N] said, but gets turned around and gently pushed forward. "Don't mind them. Let's just keep going." Mihawk said, hand on her back to guide her back to the deck.

[Y/N] tries to say something, but takes a look on Mihawk's face and closes her mouth, not wanting to bother him.

They continued on walking to the deck when bells rung as a newlywed couple walk out of a church. The newlywed wife turns around to throw a bouquet of flowers to the single ladies that were ready.

The newlywed wife counts to 3 and throws the bouquet of flowers in the air until one female caught, but got into a fight with another female.

They were pulling the flowers like tug a war, saying that they caught it and vis versa. "I caught it!" "No, I caught it!" It's nime!" "No, it's mine!!"

They tugged the bouquet until one female let's go of it, causing the other female to fall to the ground and the bouquet being thrown in the air.

Mihawk, having observation Haki, stops in his tracks and grabs [Y/N] by the waist, confusing her. However, her confusion was answered by the bouquet of flowers landing in her arms.

[Y/N] blinks twice as she looks at the flowers. "Eh? Eh?......." Then, her face goes bright red once it takes her minutes to figure it out, gripping the flowers.

'EHHHHH?!!!!??? ME!!!??? NEXT ONE TO GET MARRIED!!!??? OH DEAR!!!! WHAT SHOULD I DO?!!!? BETTER NOW, WHAT WOULD MIHAWK THINK????!!!! WILL HE THINK THAT BADLY ABOUT IT???!!!'

Unbeknownst to [Y/N], Mihawk was thinking the same thing, but in a calm demeanor when he looks to see [Y/N]'s face just red.

He slowly turns his mouth into a kind of a smug smirk and soft smile, already figuring out what's on her mind, but decides to wait for her to tell him.

"We better get going now, darling. Let's go." Mihawk said, snapping out of her thoughts. "Y-Y-Y-Yeah! Let's go, Mihawk!!" [Y/N] said, trying to cool her face down as they reached the deck to the ship.

Mihawk hops on to put the supplies away as [Y/N] helps him pass the items to him. The villagers witnessed everything, but stayed silent to see what happens next.

Once Mihawk got everything put away, he raises his arm to led a hand to [Y/N]. She smiles before grabbing his hand as he grips it gently but firm.

Mihawk helps her hops on the ship as he gets her seat ready for her to sit on. Once she was seated, he unties the ropes before giving it a small kick to move the ship.

Mihawk sits down as the boat sails off to their destination. Then, he takes off his hat and places it on [Y/N]'s head, surprising her.

[Y/N] adjust the hat before giving Mihawk and bright smile, melting his heart once again as the boat sails along with the waves.

The town was so quiet by what they just witnessed as the newlywed couple just smiled at the sight of the obvious love birds as they continued to watch them get far and far away from the island.
