Chapter 34 {Year 1)

3rd POV:
3 months has passed since the call and things are going as normal. Well, almost normal as Mihawk and [Y/N] are in a competition with each other. What type of competition? Well.

What would the triplets first word be?

Mama or Dada

Let's find out what the first word will be.

While Mihawk was in his study room, [Y/N] was playing with the triplets, waving the toy shaker around to the triplets. "Say Mama, my angels. Ma. Ma." She said, smiling.

Takeru blows some bubbles, Kumi playing with her feet and Kiyoshi claps his hands together. "Mama. Mama. Mama." [Y/N] says "Mama" over and over again when a chuckle was heard from behind her.

"Oh, darling. Is that the best you could come up with?" Mihawk said, playfully grinning. "Humph! Like you can do better, dear." She said, fluttering her eyelashes of innocence.

Mihawk chuckles and carefully grabs the triplets to spend some time with them after coming back from another Warlord meeting. [Y/N] narrows her eyes as Mihawk walks out of the room, smirking under his hat before waving at hand at his wife.

In the middle of the night, Mihawk looms over the triplets and seeing them asleep in their cribs. Seeing their small chest raising up and down from and leans down to them.

"I know that you are sleeping, but you need to give me the win. Dada. Once you wake up the next day, you'll remember this word, "Dada." Mihawk said, whispering. He repeats it over and over again when someone cleared their throat.

He turned around to see [Y/N] leaning against the door frame, smiling playfully. "Mihawk, dear. I love you. I really do, but you really think that would work? I would say that's not fair, but I would have done the same thing."

[Y/N] giggles and drags Mihawk back to their bedroom.

[Y/N] waves a treat to the triplets as they squeal to get their hands on the treat from their mother's hand. "I'll give it to you if you 3 can say "Mama" [Y/N] said, giggling while tickling their feets.

Takeru just tugged on [Y/N]'s dress, wanting to get the treat while the trouble makers, Kumi and Kiyoshi are play fighting each other. "Boo." She jumps and turns her head after feeling hot air near her ear to see Mihawk covering his mouth.

She could hear him laughing under his breath, "Really, my dear. Bribing our kids for their first word?" He said, chuckling. [Y/N] pouts before laughing softly with him.

One day as [Y/N] takes a well deserved nap, Mihawk writes something on a blank paper as the triplets are playing with their blocks. Then, Mihawk flips the paper with the word "Dada" to show to his babies.

"I'm going to teach you how to read, my little warriors and definitely not doing this as a way for you 3 to say your first word." Mihawk smiles as he hears his triplets babbling.

"Here. Dada. See, Da. Da." Mihawk "teaches" then to "read" the word on the paper when Takeru slowly stands up and walks over to Mihawk, wanting to be held by him.

Then, his younger siblings, Kumi and Kiyoshi followed his lead and climb on their father's lap. Mihawk sets the paper down and cuddles his children and tickles them with kisses as they laugh their hearts out.

After a few weeks with no results, the triplets surprised their parents by one person who decided to visit them. "Shanks!" Kumi said, pointing at Shanks who has his arms out wide.

"There's my niece and nephews! Come give uncle a hug!" "Shanks!" Takeru and Kiyoshi raised their arms up to be picked up by Shanks. Both parents froze in place, processing what they just heard before Mihawk slowly grabs his sword.

"[Y/N], good to see you again! Hawk-eye! Let's have a drink together!" Shanks said, before stopping in place and running off to get away from Mihawk.

The crew laugh at Shanks' misery as the triplets clap their hands for Shanks fighting with their father. "Shanks has been saying his name to the triplets everytime he babysits them." Benn said, leaning against the door frame.

"Well, at least we know who's the one and only favorite uncle for them." [Y/N] said, laughing as she sees her triplets clapping and her husband fighting Shanks.

She slowly smiles and lets out a sigh of relief and happiness as she spends the moment with her loved ones.
