As the "Strongest Swordsman in the World" in both name and reality, Dracule Mihawk is one of the strongest pirates in the world. Even before the Great Age of Pirates he gained fame by defeating stronger and stronger foes until he had no worthy chall...
3rd POV: After dinner, it was the very first night for [Y/N] sleeping in her new home. In the bath, [Y/N] relaxes in the warm water and looking at her wedding ring.
"I still can't believe it.....after all these years..... I finally got the one thing I hoped for and pushed off from my mind..... Thanks, Mother...... I'll see you soon....." A single tear slowly forms and slides down her face, landing in the water.
Then, she wipes her eyes to get out of the bath to get ready for bed.

After doing her night routine, [Y/N] walks out of the restroom to see Mihawk sitting in his chair, reading a book. She walks over to him and sits down next to him, laying her head on his shoulder.
"What're readying, Mihawk?" [Y/N] asked. "Gone. A story about a town in a beach where every human aged 15 and older vanishes and a group of 5 kids must discover the mystery of the missing people while discovering their own abilities to fight off evil people." Mihawk explains a small summary about the book.
"People older than 15 vanishing and abilities?" [Y/N] mumbles to herself, never read any books besides the ones her mother read.
"I could read it to you." Mihawk suggested. [Y/N] looks up at him, smiling and nodding her head. "That would be wonderful, Mihawk." She said, kissing his check.
"You missed." Mihawk said, with a tiny smug smirk on his face. [Y/N] looks at him in confusion before feeling his lips against hers.
She kisses him back, wrapped her arms around his neck and his arms around her waist. They made out for a minute before Mihawk suddenly carries [Y/N] to the bed and drops her on the bed, getting in the bed.
Immediately, [Y/N] gets comfortable in Mihawk's side, cuddling him. Mihawk book marks his page of the book before flipping it to the beginning of the book.
"One minute, the teacher was talking about the Civil War. And the next minute he was gone. There. Gone. No "poof." No flash of light. No explosion." Mihawk begins to read to [Y/N].
She lays her head on Mihawk's chest, listening to his heartbeat and his voice. "Sam Temple was sitting in class staring blankly at the board, but far away in his head. In his head, he was down at the beach, he and Quinn."
"Down at the beach with their boards, yelling, bracing for that first plunge into cold water. For a moment, he thought he had imagined it, the teacher disappearing. For a moment, he thought he'd slipped into a daydream."

After reading through a few chapters, [Y/N] slowly felt her eyes heavy as the sleep was taking over. She tries to stay awake to listen to the story, but the sleep won over and her eyes slowly closes, being greeted by the darkness.
Mihawk suddenly stops readying to see [Y/N] sleeping, her arm lays across his chest. Her face shows the most relax look that he has ever seen, hearing her small snores.
Mihawk book marks the page and puts the book on his bed stand, blowing out the candles. He slowly gets himself comfortable without waking up his wife and lays his head on the pillow.
He wraps his arms around [Y/N], facing her and watching her sleep. Mihawk lifts his hand and strokes her face and hair, rubbing her cheek.
"Goodnight..... Darling.... Love you...." Mihawk whispers, gently kissing her forehead and burries his face in her hair. He slowly closes his eyes, letting the sleep take over him.
They slept in each other's arms under the night sky.

Gone by Micheal Grant is actually good to read. Though, I only have the first book and never read the series, I like the book very much.
Based on what I could remember since it's been years since I've read it: 8/10.
