The Tragedy of True Love {A Mihawk Bittersweet Story}

Chapter 16 (Year 3)

3rd POV:
The married couple were putting their bags in the ship after one day of relaxing after the festival. Mihawk put the last bag in the ship to see [Y/N] staring at the village, seeing the citizens going about their day.

[Y/N] looks at the village, taking in the place one last time before she leaves. She goes through a memory lane of her past, after she was reasued by Gol D. Roger.

Days or months passed since Young [Y/N] was captured by people for the Celestial Dragons, being in the dark room before Young [Y/N] heads muffled yelling and sounds of someone clashing together.

She huddled closer to the corner until heavy footsteps marched to the room she's at. She stays quiet until someone kicks the door down, hearing the the door fall to the ground.

Young [Y/N] whimpers in fear, hearing someone looking through the room and hearing the footsteps stop near her.

Then, a heavy and rough hand was gently placed on her, causing her to flinched. "Hey... I'm not going to hurt you.... I'm here to rescue you, little one...." A grown man's voice said.

Young [Y/N] felt the man pick her up and felt the burning sun hit her face and sounds of waves hitting the ship.

"Rayleigh! I've found a child!! Take her for any injury!" Young [Y/N] felt wind blowing through her face as the man jumped from one ship to another ship.

After getting examined by the doctor and cleaned up. Young [Y/N] was stood in one place, facing a man with a beard and wears a red hat and a red coat.

The man stared at the young child with a serious face before laughing. "Aren't you the cutest child I've ever seen?!" The man said.

Young [Y/N] slowly smiles before covering her mouth to muffled her giggles. "Thank you mister." [Y/N] said. "Please, call me Roger. Mister makes me feel old."

"You are old." A man with blondeish hair with a scar over his eyes and glasses. Roger pouts like a child to the man, "But Rayleigh! It still makes me feel old! I still have years before I get very old!"

While they were arguing, [Y/N] felt someone pointing her with something and turns her head around to see two boys. One has red hair and the other has blue hair and a red nose.

"Whoo! I like your hairs! Looks good on you guys!" Young [Y/N] said. The red haired boy just smiles while blushing while the other boy gets cocky.

"Well, thank you! I, the great Buggy, always look good whenever fighting! Buggy said, causing [Y/N] giggle a bit. "But you just hide behind Roger not that long ago." The red haired bluntly said.

"Shanks!! You're not supposed to tell anyone about that!!" Buggy shouts at Shanks. Then, the two boys argued once again, making the rest of the crew sweat dropped by their captains and their cabin boys.

Young [Y/N] laughs before asking one crew member where they are at. "Oh, sweetie. You're in the New World." One crew member said. "Eh?! The New World! That's far from where I live?!" [Y/N] said.

"Where do you live?" "Baterilla." The whole crew grew quiet, processing what the little girl just said.

"Eh????????????????"

"You live in Baterilla?!" "Mhm." "Captain!! We're so far away to turn around right now!" The crew state their worries before Roger stood up. "No worries! She'll just travel with us until we finish traveling the New World!" Roger said.

"I can wait, everyone." The crew look at Young [Y/N]. "I can wait for how ever long. Sorry for interrupting your traveling, everyone." She bows down at them.

"Cute!!" "*Sobbing*" "Why can't Shanks and Buggy be like her?!" Young [Y/N] giggles at their behavior.

And so, [Y/N] got to see so much of the New World for nearly a year when Roger announced that he's gonna visit his lover in her homeland.

"Darling? Ready to go?" [Y/N] snaps out to look at Mihawk, who's holding her hand with a concerned look on his face.

She turns back to look at her village and her people, seeing them go about their day before look up to see the small house on the hill.

'Take care Rouge..... We'll meet again soon...' [Y/N] smiles and nods her head. "I'm ready." Mihawk picks her up in bridal style, hopping in the ship before sailing off.
