The Tragedy of True Love {A Mihawk Bittersweet Story}

Chapter 30 [Year 2]

3rd POV:
It started off small in the past 2 months after their family trip and arrived at their lovely home. [Y/N] was just washing the dishes after lunch while Mihawk dries them, when she suddenly started to cough harshly, gripping the sink tightly.

Mihawk quickly gets a glass of water when [Y/N] coughs up blood in the sink water. After a few minutes, [Y/N] finally stops coughing and takes the glass of water to drink it, feeling her body shake a bit.

"Thank you, dear....." She said, after drinking water. [Y/N] takes deep breaths to control her breathing again while Mihawk rubs her back to help her. "The doctor's right, it'll start off small..... there's 5 months left until the year ends......"

She said, looking down at her hands and slowly lifts her head to Mihawk. "Can you hold me, Mihawk.....? Please....." She whispered, like she was afraid to speak too loud.

Mihawk didn't say anything and just held her very tightly. Even without words, his actions tells something for [Y/N] as they both held onto each other. They stayed like that for a good moment until the triplets giggles echoed after waking up from their nap.

The second incident of the illness slowly growing came a few days after the first incident, during Mihawk leaving to go to a Warlord meeting. [Y/N] was doing laundry after putting the triplets to take their nap and wanting to do the laundry real quick before they wake up.

Things were going good for a few minutes before [Y/N] felt a sharp pain in her head, followed by her vision getting blurry. Luckily, she was able to find somewhere to sit before being on the ground and takes deep breaths.

She slowly lifts her hand, placing it on her head to massage it. "Mihawk's almost home... Just a few days and I'll tell him..." [Y/N] whispers, taking a break until the dizziness goes away.

The 3rd incident happened before going to bed, [Y/N] was writing in her journal while Mihawk is reading a book. Then, [Y/N] felt something running down her nose and dropping into the page, quickly getting a tissue to clean up.

Mihawk quickly pitches the bridge of her nose to stop the blood. "Plugging your nose so the blood doesn't come out." He softly said, still pitching her nose.

They waited for a while until the bleeding stopped and helped his lovely wife clean up the mess while checking up on [Y/N]. However, Mihawk noticed that instead of having the face of deep sadness, he sees the face of bravery and determine.

That expression shocked Mihawk a lot, seeing that kind of look on his wife's face. At first, he didn't understand why [Y/N] would have that kind of face.

So, he decided to watch very closely on her.

The next morning, Mihawk pretends to read the newspaper, but he was watching [Y/N] watching the triplets playing while folding the clothes. Then, it happened again in front of Mihawk, he could see [Y/N] quickly placing a hand on her head, taking deep breaths as the dizziness comes back.

This time, he sees [Y/N] still taking deep breaths, but continues on folding the laundry. Mihawk could see she's struggling, but still pushed through until she just acted like nothing happened.

Then, he sees Takeru crawling towards her, dragging a stuffed animal with him. Once he reached [Y/N], he just gave her a very innocent smile before crawling into her lap.

Mihawk sees that she has a undefined look on her face, just watching Takeru and turning her head to look at Kumi and Kiyoshi still playing with blocks. That's where he saw it, a single silent tear falls down her face.

However, [Y/N] quickly wipes it off before smiling and picking up Takeru and coddling him as he giggles. Then, it became all clear for Mihawk at once as he continues to watch over [Y/N].

She's putting on a brave face as to not let their triplets feeling the tension in the home. However, she's not putting on that face for her kids, but to him and herself. That moment in their bedroom of the nose bleeding was one example.

As he continues on watching her, Mihawk could see that [Y/N] is coming to terms with her illness. She's facing it to show that she fought the illness to the very end and to have no regrets.

That made Mihawk not only have more respect, but fallen in love even more.....
